I probably put too much in - I was using it to give the DW a clean as it smelt!
How much do you put in for a wash with plates etc, and where do you put it?0 -
Ok Ok, you've got me onto stardrops!
Loved it as a kid because it smelt fab and came in a glass bottle.
Bought some the other day and its in plastic. Do I have to get the concentrated one for the glass bottle?
So much quicker cleaning the bathroom when you can use the same cloth (microfibre of course) and product for everything, as opposed to having to switch products.

Me again.
Have checked, and mine IS the concentrated one, so I'm now worried they have done away with the recyclable glass bottles..
In answer to numerous previous questions on the board, I've got my bottle of stardrops beside me (oh for the days when it would have been a bottle of white wine...) and can advise it can be used for:
baths, carpets, melamine, cars, china, floors, fridges, glassware, hand laundry, hobs, mirrors, paintwork, sinks, tiles, upholstery, washing-up, upvc windows and doors, work tops. And a friend of my OH's used to be bathed in it as a child!
The bottle also says stardrops is gentle on your hands
Hope that helps someone,

well, after humming and hawing about this stardrops stuff, I went and got a bottle. Stumbled across a Savers today while I was looking for Farmfoods (long story), so I went in and bought a bottle of Stardrops for 65p and three packets of three large microcloths for 45p each.... I keep telling myself I'm going to clean the bathroom this afternoon.............DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

I have never heard of stardrops til i came on MSE. In fact, i wondered if it was like elbow grease

Another fan for the stardrops society. :j
I moved into a student house a few years back, and anyone with any knowledge on the subject will know how dreadful the bathrooms can be. Anyone who doesn't know, think of the most wretched bathroom you've been in and times it by 100.
Anyway, I'm sure you know the rest of the story. Stardrops saved the day and my sanity in that house. How long til pay day?

and another convert........
Bought a couple of bottles in Tesco this morning (after reading this thread) and spent an hour or so cleaning the kitchen surfaces, cupboards, floor and walls and some of the appliances like the kettle, toaster and breadmaker. They came up well but I can't say I was that impressed, but I went back into the kitchen to make tea a couple of hours later and it all seems so much, er, cleaner then usual. The toaster and kettle look like new, the cooker is gleaming and everything looks fresh and clean and sparkly. Very impressed I must say0 -
Quick question, sorry if it's been asked before:
Is Stardrops antibacterial? I'm a bit of a worrier re. germs in the kitchen and am thinking of using my stardrops diluted in a spray bottle to clean my kitchen worktops etc... so will the stardrops alone be enough to disinfect? And if not is it safe to mix some bleach or other form of disinfectant into my Stardrops solution?
Thanks in advance...0 -
Darn I've done my shop for the next ten days today, wished I had read this thread first. It sounds fantastic, and I don't normally get excited about cleaning.
Quick question, we've heard all the great things Stardrops can be used for, and that's great, but can someone foolproof this domestic disaster against it -
Is there anything that you should NOT use Stardrops for?
