On a window cleaning note has anyone ever heard of a window cleaning thingy which is magnetic so you can clean the outside of upstairs windows?

I'm sure I saw one in a magazine but can't find it for the life of me and my upstairs windows are awful!

I have one of these, it's made by Karcher. Here's a link to an Ebayed one. I used it a few times before I found someone to clean my windows for me :j which was what I'd wanted all along as I hate window cleaning and am no good at it! The windows came up not quite as smeary as my usual efforts but took a while to do. And it's not cheap to buy. I'd say not really worth it unless someone gives you one for free or unless you have no other way of cleaning your upstairs windows.

My mum's had one for years and it works brilliantly. You put one on the outside window and clip the magnets together both sides have sponges and squeezey's and then just clean both windows at once.

I stumbled across this thread the other day by accident and I'm glad I did! Yesterday I bought a bottle of Stardrops from Savers along with a microfibre cloth. I've cleaned the bathroom with them and it looks like I've completely re-tiled it! OH is well impressed

    Hello fellow stardrops converts :D

I was wondering if any of you could advise (or have already used) stardrops for cleaning the car? Just wanted to check before I did incase anyone has had any major problems if they had? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Maria

We use it for cleaning the car, it's fine!

Just a few drops though as you get loads of bubbles with a sponge!

Hmm, I'm no expert, but I have a suspicion that Stardrops might be too strong for car washing.

I think it might well damage the lacquers on modern paintwork - which is why you are not supposed to use washing up liquid.

Not too worried about washing the car - that's what rain is for!

    Regards,

    White.

Thanks to this site I have discovered Stardrops! I've used it for general cleaning, windows, laundry etc and it is brilliant but I wanted to ask - just how different is it to other cleaners?

Yes I too have just bought my first bottle of stardrops cleaned the cooker top after dinner just great.
600ml bottle 68p if it does all the jobs around the house then that I suppose is the difference. but I am sure someone will put me right.
my other query is were do you get your cheap vinegar I can only fine malt vinegar and that is expensive and only a small bottle.
