After reading this post, I dispatched my mum to the shop when she finished work to pick us both up a bottle of Stardrops. Two days later she was back buying microfibre cloths!

Anyway, I cleaned the TV first - am disgusted at how much filth came off it especially considering it had only just been dusted. After such an amazing result I cleaned every TV I could find!

Then tried cleaning the mirror - am amazed at how little effort it took to get the hairspray residue off - and no streaks left either!

Bathroom is now spotless - can't wait to clean the kitchen!!

This is my first post, so please forgive me if I do anything wrong. This stardrops sounds wonderful, and I'm certainly going to give it a go.

Just a warning though about the Zoflora disinfectant made by the same people. Any disinfectant like Zoflora or Dettol that goes cloudy in water contains phenols. These are harmful to cats (don't know if any other animals are affected), so it is best to avoid them if you have any pets.

does anyone know if starclen is safe to use around pets?

Seeing as Cat Pee has a massive amount of Ammonia in it I would think that if they can stand their own pee they can put up with Starclen .

Mobile pets will allways vote with their feet anyway !

I used to buy Stardrops from Wise Owl, it was really cheap, 40p or so? I haven't been there lately but got some Stardrops today in Home Bargains - .62p for regular Stardrops, 69p for Concentrated Stardrops, 62p for Starclen, £1.69 for Zoflora 200ml. They had loads of different sized and scented Zoflora, the little one was under 50p. Home bargains also has the Pine scented one, but I left that as I'm not keen on pine scent!

Will check ASDA next time as they seem to be cheaper, and if I make it back to Wise owl will check the price, they used to have the whole range.

Got a pack of 3 microfibre cloths for 99p as well from Home Bargains, made by Cleanit (TJM Ltd).

For general cleaning the concentrated Stardrops gives the same delution ratio as the regular - 1/2 to 1 tablespoon to 4.5 litres of hot water. You use 1 tablespoon less for carpets and laundry so probably worth buying the concentrated for an extra 7p.

I feel like my house is cleaner already. :')

If any cleaning liquid turns cloudy when mixed with water then don't use it:eek:
