If it doesn't work try nail varnish remover it works on stickers on new brought things and price stickers etc but from what I remember just the ordinary cheap remover as the acetone free one for some reason makes it tacky after removing. I'd rinse it after though
I haven't tried stardrops myself yet but going to as soon as I can get some. Does it smell nice?Thanx

I've had a bottle of stardrops under the sink for ages, I just washed the floors with it, but will hoak it out and see what other stuff it can do.Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

And shiny door handles - it looks like an advert!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Used it to so all the worktops, paintwork, cleaned the oven a treat and did the floor!!
Oh and instead of using that power fairy on a manky baking tin - I used stardrops - guess who won't be buying power fairy (oh well I only bought it for xmas time anyway!).
Great tip, halloweenqueen - I squirted some on burned-on fatty meat juices that DD had left to dry on the bottom of the meat tin - five minutes and it came right off - unbelievable.0 -

i'm sure stardrops must be wondering why their sales have suddenly rocketed!0 -
jockettuk wrote:got some of this stuff today to help get sticky pictures and stickers etc off bedroom doors. when buying a friend said she used to use some years ago that had sugar soap in it and this would be ideal to get stickers off doors..
if this doesnt work what else would help please.
I think WD40 gets sticky stuff off?Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0 -
had a good time at my friends on saturday night, so much so that she (not me, thank God!) knocked her glass of red wine on the beige carpet. "did you get that stardrops i told you about?" was my first question! thankfully, she had, mopped up excess wine with kitchen roll, then set to work with dilute stardrops, one brill clean carpet!
was also ab. fab. on some brown shiney parcel tape that a silly comet man had seen fit to tape my reciept to a brand new washer with. came off a treat, with very little elbow grease required!

bobsa1 wrote:On a window cleaning note has anyone ever heard of a window cleaning thingy which is magnetic so you can clean the outside of upstairs windows?
I'm sure I saw one in a magazine but can't find it for the life of me and my upstairs windows are awful!
Yeah, I used to have these for cleaning my windows, I've not seen them for ages now though, TBH, they were quite heavy and cumbersome, the outside one was always falling off. It was held to the inner one with a thin rope so used to bounce of the walls or sometimes the window below  I was always worried I would smash oneMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Hi - I've been reading this thread the last couple of days now and had told my sister and my mum all about this product everyone was raving about. When I told my sister she said her friend uses it and buys it in semi-chem.
I showed mum some of the pages last night so she went and bought a bottle before her work today. Thing is, while i was out of my work at lunchtime I was so convinced by all this that I went and bought a bottle too to see what like it is and I HATE CLEANING!!! Ok - I've yet to try it out but one step at a time, eh? lol.
Anyway as for the other botttle - well thats going to my wee sis as her 2 year old spilled Ice Lolly down her top and over my sisters car seats so I've told her that Stardrops should work ... here's hoping! :undecided
Will let you know how she gets on and if I have the courage to try this wonder product out myself...maybe try tomorrow!0 -
I can't seem to find anyone in London that sells Stardrops; certainly none of the major supermakets sell it. Anyone know where i could buy them, preferably in West London?'Puritanism: the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy'.

I would try a little independant chemist or supersave something like that - I'm not sure if morrisons sell it (or if you have one in W London!!).0
