I am assuming that with all the positive window cleaning responses that stardrops could be just the thing to shift the stubborn covering of green/dirt on my greenhouse....

I'll get out there this afternoon with my palette knife and sponge - will keep you updated....

    i cleaned bathroom - excellent!

and mirrors - did brilliant job!
  • This thread reminds me of when Delia was doing one of her cookery shows and recommended a certain sort of pan for cooking eggs - and everyone rushed out and bought one.

What IS so special about Stardops?

By the way - I've bought it to find out and I have to say my shower glass is best I've ever seen it. It really does seem to clean better than other products.

I have converted my Mum. Last week in Asda I was raving about it (how I used it on the chocolate sauce and yoghurt stains on the passenger seat and you now can't even see where the stains were and how I washed the car windows with it etc etc) and she bought some. Then I made her go to Wilkinsons to buy some microfibre cloths.

Well we were dying my hair the other day and she got the out the stardrops to clear the black dye off the beigey carpet (which is quite grubby anyway cos mum has two HUGE dogs) and now there about 10 clean spots on the carpet where the dye was previously. She was v. impressed.

Do you mean Nilglass? It used to be fantastic but they have changed the formulae and it really is rubbish now - I just use vinegar.

Thanks for that - I have been using Nilglass for years and need to get some more soon (but won't be now;) ) I've been looking at the fabric conditioner for cleaning windows thread so may try that instead. Other than that I shall use Stardrops. Incidentally, I saw it today in Sainsbury's - I'm sure I've not seen it in there before - but it was more expensive than Wilkinsions.

I got some and a micro cloth in Coalville Morrisons this week - yes I know more expensive, but by the time I pay for petrol to go elsewhere then it defeats the point. I used to us eit years ago as a student but had forgotten how good it was.

Thing is, at the till the woman behind me was giggling at my purchase and I wondered if it was a fellow MSEr?

I got some microcloths in tesco reduced and they are just as good if not better than the pricier ones I got from lakeland.
