  • WOW! That is fantastic - well done! :j
  • Whoo hoo - well done miss_nadine!!! Almost 1/2 a stone in a week! That's phenomenal!! It's time to spill the beans - how've you done it? Are you following a specific plan or just eating healthily? Well done either way - you're officially slimmer of the week methinks - I doubt any of us will rival that!! :T:A:j:T:A

What a busy weekend it's been on here - it's taken me aaaaggggeeesss to catch up!

Binky - well done on your STS! During totm that's no mean feat! Keep going as you are and I'd bet you'll see a fab result next week!

Big well done to Dragon, Coffee and Rotherham as well!! Lots of positive results coming in this week! :T:A

Good luck to Posh and Carol as well - hopefully you'll be joining the rest of these losers this afternoon! :rotfl:

Jodun - great result on the walk - you must be so pleased with yourself! Are you feeling any sorer today? Hope you enjoyed your victory breakfast!! :D;)

Me - Another STS :o:eek: I've no one to blame but myself either so can't really complain! I'm beginning to think my body just isn't capable of being any lighter! I suppose it would help if I'd stop eating out at the weekends though! I seem to manage to be really good mid-week, weigh a few lbs lighter by the Friday - but then blow it altogether by over eating all weekend! MUST have more self control - only 3 weeks on Friday 'til I go to Mexico!!:eek:

Hi all, A BIG WELL DONE :T to all that have lost and sts this week!

CWM.....maybe if you changed you weigh in day to a monday, that may help and stop you eating all weekend? ;)

As for me this week, well the scales in boots said i'd lost 3lb's but when the ticket came out it only said 2lb's!! I must have moved!!!

Oh well i think i will stick with the 2lb and then i'm 1lb ahead of myself for next week. :D

Only 2lb to go before i reach 3 stone yipee!!! :j

Have a good day all hope that it's a happy healthy one! xx

  • Well done Posh! MSE's gonna run out of :T:A:j emot's at this rate! ;)

Thanks - I actually weigh every day normally :o - but only count Monday's WI so I have something to compare - I'm working 2 jobs at the mo, and at my weekend job everyone goes to the pub for lunch on Sat/Sun's - and I just have no willpower to say no - I could obviously just have soup of course - I'll try harder next week! The shifts mess about a bit with when you can eat - which means I quite often get too hungry - all excuses though!

I'm gonna get myself set up again with an eating/exercise/spending diary for the next 4 weeks and see if that helps! otherwise - I'll just have to get my jaws wired shut! ;):D

i think that changing my weigh in day to a monday has made me a bit more concious of what i eat over the weekends. But i do agree that your body does have a weight it likes and it doesn't really allow you to go much under unless you undertake something really drastic diet wise which obviously isn't a goos idea. I think that your body reaches it's happy weight before your brain does so maybe though you still feel you've got more to lose your body has decided it's happy the way it is?

OK so I was around for some of the earlier challenges and managed to lose a few lbs although I've put it all back on again since. it's been just so busy at work that ...well yadda yadda yadda there are always excuses I guess. I'm now 12.8 with a bmi of 32.2 which is not good. I've already lost a couple of pounds thanks to my v kind neighbour dragging me out for a walk of an evening. But def need to lose another 5 in June. Can I rejoin please :)

    My strategies are:
Keep up the walking (at least 1hr per day)
Go to the gym to do weights three times a week
    No booze!!
No sweets, choc, ice cream or other stuff of the same ilk
Cheese only as part of a meal not a snack.

I know this sounds a bit drastic but I find it's easier to go for a total lifestyle makeover than to tinker round the edges. I'm determined to lose weight before I go on holiday in September - not because I'm worried about posing in a bikini but because it's very hilly and hot and dragging round an extra stone and a half is a bad bad idea....fingers crossed.

Sounds like you guys have all been doing really really well! Well done! I hope it rubs off.
  • Yeah you might be right Binky - I actually can't imagine ever looking at my body and thinking "I'm happy with what I weigh". Is anyone else the same?

How did everyone decide what their target weight was? And when do you decide enoug's enough?

My first target was to get under 11 stone, which I did fairly quickly, then I wanted to get my BMI into 22.something - which I've now done - then I wanted to get into a size 10 - which I've done (just about - some cheaper clothes I still need the 12) - now I'm actually quite happy with how I look when I have my clothes on (a guy at work recently told me I had an amazing body?!:rolleyes:) - but I'm still totally obsessed with my stomach and the fact it's not perfectly flat - but then - even when I was a size 6 (and far too skinny), I still had a wee bean bag belly - so maybe it's just not possible for me to get rid of it?
  • Welcome back Belfastgirl! :D Sounds like you're pretty determined - fingers crossed some of that will rub off on the rest of us (or actually - just me - the rest of them are having a stormer of a week! ;))

    xx
  • Phew - just re-read that - sorry for the wealth of negativity there peeps! Will try harder to be a bit more positive in future! ;):D
