    I didn't realise that!

    What's the point of them changing the name to a 'visa debit' then if it's still being only accepted as an Electron card?!

  • Which is why i still dont have a bank account, and wont untill i have no choice. (which may not be that long unfortunatly:rolleyes:)

    At the end of the day if you have the funds , you should be able to spend them.....simples......


    Ok maybe not that simple, as there are many many factors involved, but the principle is simple, if the govermant and banks want to make us use cards instead of paper and coins, then we need some consistancy, dont you think?
    Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(

    It could be quite simple, the banks could just not authorise payments if there are no funds in the account but then they wouldn't be able to charge for going overdrawn thus their profits would decrease. Where's my violin?

    John Lewis and associates also do not accept visa electron for online purchases.
