            HI All
I can confirm that my card has just been reissued by CO OP and it is a a a a .....
Visa DEBIT Card,
MrFruit.
Are you sure? If the card number starts 4508 then it's an Electron, no matter what the emblem says.
Try shopping at Tesco or M&S or Debenhams or First Choice online or use a Pay at Pump, if they work then it's Visa Debit, when they dont work (more likely) it's a disguised Electron...====0 -
Its not a disguised Electron card as Visa have scrapped Electron cards, it is a full Visa debit card0

Good luck with using it at Tesco, John Lewis, Ocado, M&S, pre-pay pumps..........:rotfl:
As long as it's number starts with 4508 it's an Electron in disguise, trust us.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

It's not a full Visa card at all!
I tried to pay first choice some money over the phone and they won't accept it.
I wish people would read before the add to the discussion.
The new 'Visa Debit' cards being issued through the Co-op are still Electron cards, just with a different name.
Try and order something on M&S or anyone else who won't accept Electron and you will find that they won't accept your new shiney 'Visa Debit' card, because it's just a rebadged Electron!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Visa have not scrapped Electron at all, it is alive, well, here to stay and a very popular card especially in other countries where it is also issued as a credit card. Indeed they have started to issue "electronic use only" unembossed cards in both the US and Canda in recent years.0 -
So I guess Tesco delivered my shopping this week for free then because I used my Co Op card from my Cashminder account :rotfl:0

That only means one of two things have happened, Tesco now take Electron for shopping on-line or the card number has been re-aligned to show it as a Visa Debit card.
It has nothing to do with the demise of Visa Electron.0
