Co-op Cashminder Visa Debit Card

We got our cashminder shiny new visa debit cards today

Have signed up for internet banking and also deposited a cheque in the post office.

Am actually really excited to have a new bank account! :j

Sorry it does sound bad, i am not bankrupt or going bankrupt, I was having difficulty getting a debit card though & current account, due to being unemployed & not much of a banking history at all, the co-op cashminder etc is a good one to apply for, not just for bankrupts but for anyone else with maybe not so good status/credit. I sign up with so many bookmakers to do the matched betting ( http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=325861 ) so everything is ok with me.

You will get a Visa Debit card that most shops will treat as if it is a Visa Electron.

I've just contacted the Co-op to tell them I was made BR yesterday and for a separate query. The guy on the phone couldn't have been more helpful and when I said I was made BR it didn't make a flicker in his tone or attitude. Top marks so far in my limited Co-op bank experience.

Yeah just applied over the phone myself and agree entirely about the helpful un judge mental attitude from the guy who dealt with my application, the Visa Debit card is not a check guarantee card, but at least it isn't an embarrassing electron or solo jobby!! which makes you look like a kid when you go to pay for something, my present bank are Natwest and they are absolutely crud!! so bring on the CO-OP i say!!:T

have to agree....some places are still treating the cards as an electron.....NOT what the co-op are leading you to believe..
