Yeah they will cotton on to that quickly i bet. I cont complain i have a bank account and so i will have to wait. Its a shame i think that the Co-op dont ensure they keep you for life by upgrading you to a normal account as sooner or later someone is going to offer that account and everyone will go running to that bank you just wait and see and that would be a shame as i like co-op for giving me a chance.

me to i also have a strange respect for the co op for being nice to us br.( and probably because my experience of banks for so long was them screaming at me to give them money)

they are always nice and chatty and helpful on the phone and do love talking to the blokes and having a little flirt when im checking my correct balance:D

ive not found any problems with the electron so doesnt worry me if i have to wait.

but if yous are all getting one i want to be part of your gang. can i can i can i pretty please lol:D

This is great news. Im quite excited now as the electron has been problematic for buying stuff online (im disabled so the internet is my lifeline) This means I can get rid of my paypal prepaid visa and just have the one card. Suppose it makes me environmentally frendlier by carrying around less plastic....lol

my GF rang yesterday to open a account ( not br or anything) and they said new visa debit cards are coming in force 6th june onwards tho the lad we spoke to wasnt sure when current customers would get theres. he also said hes pretty sure new customers from now on would get visa debit cards !!

I opened a new cashminder today - if I get a Visa debit as opposed to an electron I will let you know!

I love being able to get cheap flights from Ryanair - so I'd be happy to keep my electron... Are electron cards being phased out completely?

I opened a cashminder account on the 29th May over the phone, I recieved my paying in book today and am waiting for the debit card. I will let you know what they send me.
