I recieved my pin number for the new account today, it said it was for a chip and pin electron card so I'm wondering if my card was prepared before the switch over, will have to wait and see.0

Would this co op electon / visa debit switch over only apply to cards ordered on or after the 8th June?Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

            hi
i just spoke to co-op
as it just a basic acc you
have to qualify for debit card
if system recognises your
appliciable for upgrade it will
be done automatically
in my case i have to sit and wait
they will get round to it eventually
i was told to check my credit
file to see if it had been updated
and cleared
hope that helps

well done :beer::beer:0 -
I totally agree Flowerpot, I don't mind which card I recieve, I fully expect it to be an electron, I'm just happy I can go back to a bank account, it will be so much easier than using the post office and reinstating my direct debits will actually save me money.

Good points by all. I think that within a year Co-op will give everyone a new visa as otherwise one of the other banks will notice that people like us actually want a proper visa.
I am very loyal and would stick with Co-op as they have given me another chance but not everyone will be like that.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

Credit file BR fall off date: 24/06/14 :beer:0 -
So what does that mean then getting better? Will they be running anoither credit check on our files? Seems a bit of a pointless task as it will still come back that we have a BK note on our files?0

I dont think they will do another credit check as as you say it would be pointless. I do think they may do what Barclays say they do and that is if you maintain your account well they will upgrade you accordingly.
I have to stress though this is only what Barclays said to me i have no evidence of this at all.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:
