I had better book my Ryanair flight "pdq" then seeing as Electron is the only card they don't charge for using!!!!! :rolleyes:

I received an electron card yesterday from the co-op, do you think they'll change it in a few weeks?

Rumor has it's being rolled out in a week or two......they may only replace exsisting cardholders once the cards expire (if thats the case the co-op will be taking a fair few calls from electron holders that have had an accident with their cards!!)

I'm just in the process of opening cashminder acct and when I spoke with them last week she said i would get the Electron, but to ring them in a couple of weeks if I wanted it changing to a normal Visa!! Hope this helps.

Great news, all the numbers have rubbed off my old green one, the blue one is OK, it really needs replacing, so I'll give it another week or 2 before I call them.

yeah will be good to know if they will just take a call and send you a new one as my current one will not be changed until 2011 otherwise which is a while to wait.

I could not wait any longer, so have just phoned them. Was put on hold for six minutes and then told:

Visa Debit now not being introduced until back end of July (their words). Even then it will only go to new customers and people whose cards expire.

She then said as long as you wait until end of July, you can request a new card.

I get the feeling they are worried about being besieged by calls!!

Could the first person to recieve a NON ELECTRON card let us all know, so that we can mysteriously loose our cards!!!!!!!!!

So did I. Now I have rung i am also worried that they will not believe me when I 'Loose' my electron as soon as a debit is available.
