I've completely run my business account down ready to move away from Auctiva but I've just done their best comparison thingy to see what plan they recommend.

According to them my cheapest way is to pay a set $16.34 a month plus 12 cents per listing, plus $2.95 for basic image hosting and a transaction fee of 1.25%.

That is based on an account with virtually no sales in the past month as I was in the process of changing stock when I got the original email and have let it all drift while I decide what to do.

Semms a tad expensive especially with all the per item charges, so I'm out.

Me too, shame, it was good while it lasted. I've just checked my cheapest plan and it is $ 21.34 plus extras

Oh well, off to do battle with Turbolister.

Just trying Garagesale (For apple macs) I have tried the free listings. Quite impressed. Its a one off about $40 fee thats all. So I will be purchasing the license.

I must admit looking at auctiva and what they want to charge I think its very expensive. The site is also so buggy and not reliable. So there projections of keeping 70% of users I think is a bit hopeful
  • garagesale is supposed to be pretty good ^^

the plan auctiva are saying i should pick is the "Big ticket seller" (what a title!).

but this $14.95 a month and 22p a listing. that will be a no then.

I'm also very disappointed that they have decided to charge, I won't be using them anymore after this month, but I am afraid of my current listings. Soo, are you saying all our photos will disappear if they are hosted with auctiva? If so I have a lot of work to do!! Is it easy to move listings from auctiva to turbo lister?

    This is very frustrating!!

Seems a lot of people are pointing the finger of blame to Auctiva on this, when in reality it is ebay themselves that have brought about this situation.

eBay have cut off the subsidy/commission to Auctiva, so it can't be expected that they continue operating for free?

You are right, I didn't mean to blame auctiva, I am just frustrated in general, that's goodbye to my free photos, free templates etc

As far as I understand it after our current 30 day 'free' trial any accounts that are not paid for will close, so that means all the photos etc will disappear.

    Hi
I also use Auctiva and will find this a bit expensive now. I mainly use it for the image hosting and the ability to schedule for a specific time.

Has anybody tried inkFrog, and could they recommend it? It has image hosting of 1GB which is great. I assume they'll allow scheduling but don't know for sure.

If anyone has used them it would be great to know.

    Thanks

Just been looking on the Ebay forums, and some people are signing up with Seller Sourcebook. It has a flat rate of $8 per month, or you can sign up for 12 months for $70 and someone said they were offering a 10% discount for Auctiva customers.

Anyone had any experience using them ?

It's interesting to see that in times of economic hardship, people are still signing up to pay for services that could be considered a luxury...

Between photobucket, turbo lister and ISDNtek, all the features of Auctiva et al are available for free.
