Auctiva to start charging

i use auctiva for all my listings, but i will happily look elsewhere if i have to start paying for it.
the glitches when creating a listing are bad enough, but the biggest impact for me has to be never knowing if all your pictures are actually viewable at any one time.
may check out auctionsplash..:grouphug:

hmmmm, reviews of auctionsplash don't sound too promising:grouphug:

Thanks for the heads up! I only used Auctiva to create my auctions, then schedule them (for free) instead of paying ebay's fee to do so. Looks like I'll be closing my account before July then!
I'm starting to use Gumtree, Trade-It and free cards in the local supermarket to sell stuff as they are all free and don't charge exorbitant listing or final fee's!0 -
i have just finished an auctive listing and think maybe this could be a blessing in disguise.
no more chasing your description round the page as glitches play football with different parts of it.:grouphug:

There are several threads on ebay about other services, basically though no one has yet managed to suggest a free alternative that actually does everything that we would need. It looks like it is back to Turbo lister and photobucket then, hey ho.
How do you use Photobucket with Turbolister, and does it mean you can have as many photos as you like ?You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

There is a tutorial on Utube for adding images to ebay listing, I presume it's similar for Turbo Lister.

I tend to limit myself to no more than 4 photos in case my buyers are on a dial up connection. However on photobucket even a complete non techie like me can do it..so basically anyone can. You upload your photos, resize them and you get an HTML code which you add to your description in Turbo lister, and hey presto photos show up.
Photobucket is a bit slow though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The reason that this has happened is that eBay have stopped, or will be stopping the affiliate payments for seller tools.
ebay want to incentivise affiliates to bring in new buyers - given the change in pricing policy to make it cheaper to list items, there is no reason why ebay want to incentivise new sellers.
More money is made from Final Value Fees, therefore more focus is being put on the buyers who generate these fees.
Inkfrog, Vendio, AuctionSound, EZLister.net, Iwascoding, My StoreCredit, Seller Sourcebook to name a few, are also like to start charging for services.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

It was all listed a bit late. :rolleyes:This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -
I've completely run my business account down ready to move away from Auctiva but I've just done their best comparison thingy to see what plan they recommend.
According to them my cheapest way is to pay a set $16.34 a month plus 12 cents per listing, plus $2.95 for basic image hosting and a transaction fee of 1.25%.
That is based on an account with virtually no sales in the past month as I was in the process of changing stock when I got the original email and have let it all drift while I decide what to do.
Semms a tad expensive especially with all the per item charges, so I'm out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
