Auctiva to start charging

auctionpix looks like a good tool to host all your pictures

anyone use it already ?

I just had a survey from Auctiva that says would I be interested in staying with them if they were able to offer the following:

$4.95/mo. flat rate

• Up to 25 listings/mo.
• 0.5 GB of Free Image Hosting* (approx. 2,500 images)
• No transaction fees
• Unlimited access to templates, scheduling, reports and all other Auctiva Features

* Additional Image Hosting available at additional charge

Maybe there is hope yet for a reasonably priced service?

Also a slightly different one on another account which rather leads me to suppose their hopes of retaining 70% of their business may have been a little optimistic.

Well, what a U turn. Shame he's probably already lost half his customers.

Still, at least he's trying to make things better - maybe Ebay's CEO should have a chat with him :rolleyes:

I'd like to know how many sellers have already bailed from Auctiva, it must have been a few to get a rethink on the pricing structure this early.

Or is it maybe they announced it all too quickly and hadn't thought it out?

I shut both my auctiva accounts as soon as they mentioned charging as I find it hard to justify paying for a service when you don't have any evidence of how many sales you get from the scrolling window,

If they could prove extra sales then I would happily pay for the service.

I don't think it was ever anything to do with extra customers, I certainly notice no difference in my sales between those with Auctiva templates and those listed via turbolister. I think most people only used Auctiva because you could store everything online and set up automatic relists and scheduled listings etc free of charge.

hmmm...interesting.

i was just about to start moving stuff across. i'm still not sure auctiva is actually worth paying for.

what i do wonder is now they will have some cash maybe the numerous glitches can be sorted out.

if i do decide to sign up, i certainly won't want all the glitches that come up when creating a new listing to still be there.

this may still have been enough to make me rethink my listings and go elsewhere.
