I've used auctiva for about 3-4 years now.

I only use it for -

    • Multiple photos
    • Templates
    • To be able to prepare a listing before uploading it to ebay.

I won't be paying for Auctiva, and if i can do all these things on 'Vendio' then i'll start using them from now on.

I wonder, if Auctiva start losing loads of users, if they will go back to being free?

I got the Auctiva email to my personal account and it says the following if you follow a link to a link (it doesn't exactly make things awfully clear though!)

Those who don't specify a plan by the end of their 30-day trial period will be restricted from posting new listings to eBay, but will maintain access to Auctiva's suite of free tools, including Auctiva's Scrolling Gallery, a free Auctiva Store, up to 1 MB of free image hosting, auto marketing e-mails, data storage and access to Auctiva Education. These features come standard with all of Auctiva's five listing plans.

So basically it looks like if we don't want to pay we had better list everything within the next month and then just let the account lapse by not uploading a card for payment.

    Start listing!

Good luck to anyone trying to list this morning - all my listings are going into scheduled for some reason, despite the posting time showing earlier today

Just uploaded Vendio and set up a token with Ebay, but it all looks really confusing. Is anyone using Vendio ?

    I'm finding it confusing also...

Can't see where to select Auction or BIN.
Can't see where to choose a template.
    Can't find how/where to select a category.
Item won't save.. keeps saying there's an error.

    :confused::confused:

If you use the help facility it tells you how to start creating a listing, but when I got to the currency it only uses $ and it says £ will be available shortly, so think it must just be for the USA at the moment.

Having said that, I have uploaded Turbo Lister, and that thinks I am in the USA

Serves me right for sitting inside listing on such a lovely day :D

I'm still reading through all the stuff, it isn't awfully clear is it when the actual charging will occur and what will happen to existing listings? I am also confused because all the links Auctiva sent me refer to ebay.com and talk in dollars?

    However I have found this:

    http://www.auctiva.com/edu/entry.aspx?id=No-Monthly-Fee-Plan

Which states 12 cents per listing..so I do still wonder if it would be possible to pay for a couple of listings a month and keep all the current photos and auctions 'live'.Then as soon as I no longer need the already uploaded stuff on ebay I just cancel my account and walk.

I'm not particularly concerned about not being able to list any more via Auctiva I'm just concerned about what will happen to all my current live auctions as some are manually relisted over and over as I get the same products to sell in my business account. Other than that I will have to spend a couple of days pulling everything off Auctiva and loading it onto turbo lister just in case. I'm just pleased that in th epast couple of months i had started to migrate away from Auctiva and so already have huge amounts of my template listings on Turbo lister, if Auctiva had done this early this year or late last I would have been in a much worse position as I used them for everything but stopped a lot of the new listings when they became so glitchy.

I imagine that come the end of June there will be a lot of auctions where photos and stuff just disappear where sellers haven't allowed for the changes and haven't set up a credit card to pay.

Thanks Soolin, I think I read somewhere yesterday that Auctiva will decide which category you are in based on your last 90 days sales, but whichever one they put me into, I won't be using them anymore.

If anyone finds a decent alternative, can they let me know please

There are several threads on ebay about other services, basically though no one has yet managed to suggest a free alternative that actually does everything that we would need. It looks like it is back to Turbo lister and photobucket then, hey ho.

There have been 2 alternatives to Auctiva mentioned here, Vendio and Auctionsplash, has anybody here found either of them to be workable? It would be handy to know before I put a lot of effort into transfering my listings over.

    TIA
