Thank god. Hopefully it will deter everyone and their dog from putting in those crappy gallery scrollers on every listing. I hate Auctiva it's so laggy and try and avoid buying listings with that on.
/Rant over.:p0 -
I've just had an email pop in my inbox on this - apparently there will be various price plans and they will recommend one based on your eBay usage.
I've only used it once when I wanted to put several pictures on the listing. I generally find it quite slow and clumsy to use and much prefer Turbolister anyway.0 -
Slightly off topic but does anyone know how to get rid of the scrolling gallery?
I deleted my account a couple of weeks ago as I got so fed up of all the down time but the gallery is still there, ive started to use photobucket but the Auctivq gallery is still showing and messing up my listings0 -
i just logged into my auctiva account a few minutes ago to check on something and this was the first page that greeted me rather than the normal homepage - a message from the CEO of Auctiva.
I'ts a shame but I'm not that surprised that they are about to start charging. I use it for the free pics for clothes listings (which i think ebay is introducing in June) and scheduling.0 -
I stopped using auctiva about a yr ago as it kept freezing on me all the time, I have since been using auctionsplash - it's free to use, has some really nice templates and very user friendly too - you also get notified each time you get a bid on your item and when the item is sold, it will notify you when it's been paid for (via a little pop up) - I would highly recommend this site for anyone changing from auctiva.0

Glad I never bothered upgrading from TL!My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I will stop using them if you have to pay - that auctionsplash sounds like it's worth a look thanks for the tip0

The article quoted in the first post suggests that Auctiva are expecting 70% of their customer base to be happy to pay. I suppose as long as they keep the huge listers they will be happy, we smaller ones are probably blocking them with our few dozen auctions and slowing them down anyway.
I will stop using Auctiva on my personal account and at least one of my business accounts can manage fine without it. I'll decide about the major business account once I see what sort of costs they are talking about, but I think I cna manage fairly well with just Turbo lister so I suspect I won't be using Auctiva at all once the free model goes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'd love to know hwere auctiva got the 70% figure. They'll have to greatly increase there site to keep half of that I think. The site is so buggy and slow there is no way I would pay for it0
