  • Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining you but I have a problem. I'd like to get hold of some nappies that have a nice pattern all over them. I would like them in all sizes but all I've found in small sizes are white ones with just a strip of pattern round the top. I thought I'd finally found some today but when i opened them they weren't patterned all over.

Really hope someone can help me with this please as I'm spending a fortune at the minute.

    many thanks
    jan.
  • Jan 58, I have to say that i don't recall any nappies that are patterened all over - perhaps with the exception of swim nappies. Pullups are generall the only ones with a bit more decoration on the front of them. Unless anyone knows different........

  • Wow, you are all so talented. The pics I've seen are fantastic!

I know there are rules about selling on the boards but I want to buy a 3 tier cake. I've seen some on ebay but begrudge paying the postage. If anyone is in my area (North East), can you tell me where you sell your items.

    Thanks

  • Tesco have 20% off all clothes at the moment (which includes muslin cloths) There is also an additional 20% off code as posted on the discount codes section . This makes a pack of 3 muslin cloths £2.24 (before quidco) Delivery is £3.95 if you are spending under £50 but if you need any schoolwear (I added a pack of 3 vests for £2) then delivery is free.

    Hope this helps someone :)

Sorry if this is already posted and I missed it but I was in Pounstretchers today and their Disney range of rattles, teething rings hair care sets at 99p are buy 1 get 1 free bargain I thought x

I went to my local Poundstretchers this morning and managed to get a Pooh rattle and pack of 2 dummy clip things as that's all they had on BOGOF, so thanks for the tip.

There's an idenpendant card shop and a craft shop in the same retail park so managed to get all my ribbons and a pull bow sorted out. All that's left to get for my 1st cake is a teddy and the cellophane.

Once this one is done I'll follow the advice of you lovely ladies and buy cello and ribbon in larger quantities online :)

its actually cheaper in hobby craft for the ribbon :)
Thanks for that, but unfortunately I dont get to hobby craft very often, a bit too far away for me, and usually a long time waiting in traffic jams on the M6!!!!

I've got to go and make tea now but wanted to pop on to say that I've 90% finished my nappy cake :) I'll sort out posting some pics later, but I've done 3 tiers, wrapped with a hooded fleece blanket, a muslin and a burping/feeding cloth. I've put in 2 pairs of socks and scratch mitts, Johnsons shampoo and a Johnsons soap, 2 dummy holders, a rattle, 2 mini bottles of wine and 33 size 3 nappies. I've got the ribbon all ready to put on but still need to get a teddy (proving harder than I thought!) and a cakeboard, then get it wrapped. It looks better than I thought it would for a first attempt, especially as I've had a lot on and had a bit of a rush to get the bits. I was picturing it in my head thinking it would all be mis-matched with different shades of cream lol, but I think it looks ok now I've made it. My 2 DDs were watching and they thought it looked good too :)

P.S. I swirled and it was ever so easy

  • Well done Cat04! I find them really 'satisfying' to do - transforming all the ingredients into a talking point! Looking forward to seeing your pics :)
