personalised letters from santa (to order)
some of my smaller bits like cappucino wash cloths, socks cupcakes, wash cloth lollys.i also have pics of all my cakes in a photo album which i will display rather than make them up as its mainly xmas stuff i want to do
does that sound ok?0 -
If you are popping into your local Tesco, have a look at the reductions in the baby aisle as I have just got a Disney hooded towel in cream with a pink and blue 'Peek a Boo' Roo on reduced from £6 to £3 I also picked up 2 comforters (gina Giraffe and Geoffrey Giraffe) reduced from £3.50 each to £1.50 - I have used these on top of my 3 tier cakes. It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0

Wow, I've spent the last few days reading the whole of this thread, all 191 pages of it! My OH's best friend and his wife are expecting their first baby in November and I wanted to make something special for them....so here I am and it's gone from a 'maybe' to a 'certain!
I have a list of everything I want/need to put in a 3 tier Pooh themed nappy cake (they love Disney), and I've already picked up a few bits for it:
Pooh 2 piece set (velour top and trousers) from Adsa sale £3.50
Pooh brush & comb set from B&M 89p
Pooh teether from B&M 89p
I'm not as bothered about cost as it's for close friends, although I won't be going mad!
If I'm successful with this cake, and the Christmas gifts from the kids for family (pint of socks, ladies sock cupcake etc) then I think I might give it a whirl and start selling themI live in Lincoln and I don't want to tread on anyones toes...but I won't be going full on for quite a while yet, just starting locally and selling word of mouth (assuming I'm any good of course!)
I've learnt so much from this thread (A big thank you to you all for that) and can't wait to get some nappies and start baking my first cake. I've joined a few groups started by some of you on facebook, and I have to say there are some fab cakes out there, you're a very talented bunch
I think this thread will be one of my new homes from now on :jExtra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
