I think i must be the only one on here that really doesnt like the shining star teddys i dont know what it is about them but i just dont like them wish i did cause there everywhere i picked up loads of teddys in a sale done from £4.99 to £2.99 from one of the card shops

Did you buy the "Roly" bears? I got quite a few in sale too.
I am not keen on Shining star toys either. I think it's because I find them too big for cakes and I don't like eyes that arn't "sewn".

  • VK - the Tescos newborn range / size one are mainly white, with a hint of yellow around the band.

Other than that, all the ones I have used have pictures on them.

I use the Pampers 'Simply Dry' nappies, Size 3 Midi (orange Packaging), they are completely white with just the coloured band across the wasteband.

They are very often on offer for £3 a pack.

I don't recall having seen a separate thread but there was something earlier on in this thread about them that inspired me to give them a try

Just wanted to say thank you. I was looking for something different for a friend who was expecting baby- nappy cake was ideal solution. She has just had a little boy and I have finished my first cake- not anywhere near as lovely as ones on here, but pretty pleased with it. I used a baby record book as the base, newborn nappies (she is mainly going to use washable but remember how useful a few newborn ones were in early days), a bath towel, and printed muslins, I filled 2 baby bottles one with bath bath and 1 with bubbles for mum, then added a teddy at the top (picked up in local card shop- £2- really soft and very cute) and some ducks for bath. They seemed really pleased with it- so thank you everyone x
