fab cake carlymummy and brilliant news on the other order - do you use silver plates for your cake to sit on? i use them as they work out loads cheaper than boards and still support the cake, when i used boards folk commented that they would never use them and a couple friends even offered to send me them back,

I'm guessing you mean't me so thanks! and yes I do use silver plates - in fact for the winnie the pooh cake I actually used a gold plate - I bought them in either poundland or the 99p shop and there were 8 in a pack so much cheaper than the cake boards and they work just as well! :D

Popkins - that cake looks absolutely fantastic!!!

I have fairs at the weekend and am tryingt o make stuff for those but am shattered after a weekend at legoland and can't really be bothered right now lol. I think I have enough but have fairs on both fri evening and saturday all day so unsure of how much I will need for 2 fairs - this sounds daft I know as I should be able to multiply it by 2 but I dont have the space to make hundreds of things up so hoping that I sell everything but not too much iyswim lol I have just finished making a black and white towel cake - I'm pleased with it and don't want to sell it lol.

I have 3 STUNNING cakes done!!

    If I can post pics I will:D

    Im so delighted:)

2 of them have already been taken........by my sisters, one for her best friends son and my other sister said one of her workmates is nearly due (actually she phrased it Carol is ready to drop!!) and she would like the neutral one........she also asked if I was up for doing some more as her office is full of ladies and gents who all know of someone who is pregnant!! I spent around £10/£13 on each one!! And she said get your prices sorted out and expect me to ring tomorrow!!! :D

    WOW!!!

Each one only took a half hour to do!! (even with the two wee ones fighting the bit out)

My friend who works in a local shop (well known one) wrapped one of them up for me in cellophane....not the way i would have done it mind!! But she even said they were very imaginative!! tee hee I didnt tell her about this thread!!!
