Lovely site Carlymummy - I especiall like your "Shabby Chic" invites. I love anything Shabby Chic!

Where do you get your Towels from for your gorgeous Pamper cakes?

    Thanks MoonPenny!
My towels for the Pamper Cakes I have been buying from Asda on offer at the moment the hand towels are 2 4 £3 so it works out well with a gift set from B&M for a couple of pounds. Hoping to get all of the orders for the towel cakes done and get the money A.S.A.P.

    Hi All,

I have been reading this forum and the forum before this and have decided to give the Nappy Cake a go for my Sister whos due in March. I was just wondering if people could help me with a few questions I have about putting one together as I am intrigued. :D

    1. How do you stick each teir on top of each other? Is there anything you use to keep its shape and keep it secure?

    2. Is there a way to fold the blankets around the cake to keep them in place and make them look nice and neat?

    3. I am also interested in making Roses with baby socks to decorate it if anyone could help me with this?

    4. How do you wrap it up in Cellophane? I have seen some on Ebay which is 20m x 50cm but I'm not sure if this would be wide enough? or to get it wrapped at the Florist!

After I have made the Nappy cake I am interested in trying to do other ones such as the Baby Carriage and the Baby Bike / Trike???

Any pictures would be great to help me put this together! I have a rough Idea after reading both Forums.

I have bought quite a few bits that I need to put it together such as Cake Board, Nappies (size 3) from Asda big boxes on offer 2 for £18, Burp Cloths, Bibs, Socks, Scratch Mits, Hat and Booties , Digital Thermometer, Nail Scissors, Brush & Comb, Bottle Cleaner. Is there any other bits you can think of that I could include?

    Thank You

    Danielle :D

I do not have to justify the fact and neither does anybody else particularly to you!
I was merely giving you my 'thoughts on the subject'. As I found your original post quite patronising I felt the need to comment.
You will find from my other posts that I am not by nature an argumentative person at all, but to post a comment regarding a product which we choose to use in our gifts, a product that over 80% of new mums and dads choose to use, to ask if the environmental factors are something that we even consider before purchasing I found to be an unnecessary comment.
Anyway if you are going to attempt to make a nappy cake you will be able to find lots of useful, information on this thread. Everyone is very friendly and I have always found polite and helpful.

It was not my intention to patronise or to cause any offence to anyone. I was merely going through a dilemma re this myself and wondered what everyone elses thoughts were as I was unsure if I should find out specifically what people use so far as nappies concerned before I make any cakes for them(didnt in any way expect anyone to justify anything). If it was worded in a manner which in any way caused any offence to anyone I apologise. I asked because, as you stated, its clear from everyones posts that this is a helpful forum and everyone is extremely polite. I am too and would and did not in any way mean to offend anyone. Really sorry if I did.
