Mumoffour, fabulous cakes - you won't be able to stop now! LOL.
Do you do your photos through Photobucket?

Wheezysmith , I love your Christmas cake and agree with Irlrip - it should be at least £10.
Don't forget, if you had to make another you would have to pay full price for similar items that you originally got in the sale.
  • Hello,
    Think you meant £20!!!!
It is certainly worth that and I would sell it at that. Having said that my single tier Chrsitmas cakes are £15. They contain 12 nappies, 1 muslin, 1 bib and a toy/pair of booties.

Does anyone know where I can get some yellow socks at this time of year? Normally buy in Peacocks but they do not do them any more. I haven't got a BM or Dunnes anywhere near me in the south, more's the shame as they sound like they do fantastic bargains!

I am the only one struggling to get blankets?

I have been everywhere, don't know if it just the time of the year but I really can't find anything especially plain ones.

Can't even find ones online unless they are expensive or the postage is :(

Had an order for a blue cake tonight. They want it tomorrow so I had to take another cake apart as I can't find blankets anywhere :(

    Not a great picture

Hi Irlrip, I had to do exactly the same as you with a blue cake – take the blanket for another one. I bought a blue one from Primark but it was too pale for what I wanted so had to pinch one off another.
It’s a right pain! Don’t the shops think babies need to keep warm in winter? They will probably bring a load of furry ones out next summer!
Anyway, here’s the blankets I know about. You probably know as well!!!!

Primark - £3.50 – Pink, Blue and lemon
Matalan - £3 – Pink with mouse emb / Blue with teddy emb / plus patterned blue & pink. They also do a lovely cream one at £4. (Furry one side/ fleece the other with brown emb teddy)
    Asda - £3 – Cream / Pink / Blue teddy emb.
B&M - £2.49 – Cream / Pink / White Furry with satin edge, but they all have appliqu! on corner. They also do White knitted Shawls at £1.99. (I used similar on my Christmas cakes.)
