Had a couple of small spends in A!di and Mr T today. Called into C00p to check for clearance items (nothing doing today, as seems to be the norm at the moment :( ) and spotted another paper running money offer vouchers.

The Daily Exp (sure it was that one) had a voucher for £5 off a £30 spend in L!dl. Apparently they're printing another every day Mon thru Fri of next week - but it read as if ALL the vouchers also have to be used next week

We have a store within easy striking distance of home, but I rarely go in (unless I've spotted something in their special offers email) as A!di is actually closer..... but I'm debating calling in tomorrow for a browse, and possibly buying a paper on Monday if I reckon I can make use of it. Only thing is I still have the last Mr M voucher to use this week, and my freezers and cupboards are already heaving :rolleyes2

Not a bad week for us with a couple of NSDs, but the total for the week came in at £45.02, so we now have a running total for June of £237.04. However we will need more this week, and there are still 10 days to go!

My Mum and Dad came round for supper last night. We had broad beans from the garden with goats cheese (the first of the year!) - delicious. Then moussaka which I made a month ago and froze when I had homemade ricotta and an aubergine to use up. Then we had HM chocolate ice cream for pud. Very OS - I was proud. Dad loves IC, especially chocolate, and it IS Fathers Day today...

The garden is looking fab and we are just starting to eat our potatoes, so this should help with the GC next month. If only I could get the kids to eat courgettes...

Good luck to everyone with the challenge, and especially to Mrs M and Orkney Star with their family...

Best wishes to Mrs M and your mum.I hope the op goes well.
Thought I'd better pop my totals on I forgot last week.I'm running a bit tight for this week but I picked up a few whoopsies yesterday so should make it on budget.I still have 2 M vouchers to use in Mr T next week they get spread out over a few months as I use them for stockpiling.I think I may go for one of the Lidl ones too.I could use that for a tray of bread flour, tin toms and they're doing a good deal on their dry cure back bacon at 99p a pack which wouldn't take up that much room in the freezer.July is a 5 weeker but I'm on holibags for the first 2 and I always spend more on holiday so I'll set my GC for£455,Mrs M thank you.

Hope your mum recovers well MrsM.

I've not had much chance to update my spends so far this month but we've been doing quite well, but that was mainly inspired by the fact we just didn't have much money. We should easily stick within the approximate budget for June, even with my birthday on Wednesday. I've been baking quite a bit and also been using some things from the cupboard to make lunches on weekends (couscous, hard boiled eggs, shredded ham, peas and lemon juice tastes fantastic).

We had a few spends this weekend as my bf starts work tomorrow and I'm sending him in with a packed lunch. He's been off work for six months with a back problem, so he's looking forward to getting back into it. I've just made some biscuits to go in his lunch and depending how I feel later (sore throat) I may make some scones as well.

My month ends on 24th this month as we want to take advantage of free delivery with Sainsbury and this Thursday is the only day we'll have free for a while.

The end of June also marks half way through my years budget, so it will be interesting to see how we're doing.

    Have a good week everyone!

  • Hi, Just popped in to say sorry Mrs M and Orkney star to hear about your Mother's ill health. Hope they both recover well. Also to update my sig. Spent £7-95 in M&S yesterday plus Hubby bought us all lunch £28 . Today we went out for a picnic £24 (but had a few bits left for a light tea, as noone really hungry later). We also had a look at the campsite we have just booked for middle of July. So now no more eating out, would be cheaper to do a cooked breakfast late saturday morning before we all set off into Town starving.:D. Right O got to prepare a menu till 17th July, then make a list of stock cupboard stuff to take camping and a box of wine.:D. Take Care all
