Can I put myself down for £250 for July please? I'm increasing it as I'm planning on going to Costco with a friend and stocking up :rotfl:0

Just a small spend on milk today; have updated siggy.
It is too near to the beginning of the (six week) month to see how it will go, but am still ahead of where I was for April (five week month - £140 budget) so should be more than OK.0 -
Hi guys,
i`ve just updated my sig. Pets at home now have £13.63 of my hard earned for a sack of dog food so now i have just £21.17 for the shop this weekend. The good news is that the dog food was on offer and was £3 cheaper than normal :j
Fingers crossed for this weekend as it will be DH doing the shop and not me

Chicken becomes so stre-e-e-e-etchy it's a rubber chicken0 -
A rubber chicken is one that can be stretched to make lots of meals
I love rubber chicken and have it down to a fine art, i use the breasts to make roast dinners and if it`s a large chook DH and i have half a breast each and fill up on extra veg so the plate is still full.
The rest can be made into a chicken curry, chicken sandwiches etc
If you really want to stretch it get yourself some enamel plates and make chicken plate pies, i make them with mushrooms and half a can of condensed soup for the sauce and can get 3 or 4 pies just from the legs.
Other bits we have on salad.
Any leftover bits add to hm pizza and last but not least boil the carcass to make a beautiful stock for soup stews and gravies.

Thanks, although I still feel a ickle silly:o:o:o"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇0 -
TheBees are on track to come in on target providing we're sensible - fingers crossed.
Had a Fathers Day BBQ and cooked too much meat. Kept the salmon and made my first ever home made fishcakes with it tonight to eat for tomorrow night's tea. Quite pleased with myself as I feel I've made an extra meal. :jA couple of years ago I would never have dreamed of doing that...
Good luck everyone.Hoping to retire earlier than 67!0 -
Hi
Can I please declare £212.45 for May/June
and
I'm going to put up £240 for June/July thankyou
I know it might sound odd, increasing the budget by another £20 when we came in under budget but we're going to rely more heavily on the grocery budget now for work lunches instead of buying them in while at work, and Mr Shortie is going to chip in an extra £20 this month for it :TApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
You're all doing so well!
I'm still counting right til the end of JuneBut up to £119.03 of £140 with a week left!
I've written down EVERYTHING we've bought, but still haven't quite figured out what we're spending it on!
Might have to get to the end of the month and do one of those lovely here's-what-I'm-buying-can-you-help threads that I read on here sometimes where people give loads and loads of lovely advice
Keep up the good work everyone!0
