My total for June came in at £185.13/183.87 so really pleased with that, can you put me down for £200 for July. Thanks and good luck everyone - some impressive stories.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Is this possible? I'm fed up living on bloody processed muck. It would have to feed 2 adults and 2 kids, My OH works in a major supermarket and gets first pick of the reduced items, but to be honest I wouldn't give the half of it to a dog, I mean the meat has turn't brown::rolleyes: Any tips appreciated. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Just a quick update to signature. Spent £3-84 in Mr T today. Cadbury's fudge bars down to 7p at the mo. (handy for kids treats, mine's in the freezer;)), coco cola £1 (handy for camping), longlife milk and cream.(decided to make kids a trifle as a treat) and salami for packs. Only a few meals left in the freezer and ordered a online shop to come 1st July. Will need to think of a few more meals till then. Just going to shop locally at butchers and greengrocers.Grocery challenge june £300/ £211-50.
Grocery challenge july £300/£134-85.0 -
It all depends on what you like and what sort of things you need to include in that total....is it just food or to include toiletries/cleaning/pet items too?
We're a family of 4 and have 2 cats, our weekly shop (on average over the month) is around £47 but that's for everything....and it does mean shopping around when there's offers on and making nearly everything from scratch.
Give us an idea of what meals you like and I'm sure we can cut down your spend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hi I would like to join in again.
I was trying to do it annualy but fell off the wagon back in Feb. DH was rushed to hospital all ok now but because he works offshore they wont let him back to work till he's had 6 months off. Which is quite nice having him home to help look after our 2 daughters but his wages stopped last week and no pay till end of sept:eek:.
Luckly I have still been bulk buying over the past 3-4 weeks with the £5 off if you spend £30 in MrM so I should only need fresh stuff and hoping that my veg will be ready soon.
MRS M sorry but can you take me off annualy and put me down for £155 for July.GC July £250/0 -
Hiya guys,
Popped into Lidl's today to get lemonade, only 18p and I like their's best, when I noticed they had muller rice for only 20p :cool:wow mr and mrs fav, and usually 54p. 3x lemonade+ 4x muller rice = £1.34 so not much damage to the budget:j
Still using stock food and HM freezer meals, it's great:money:

OMG
I went for a medium shop and spent £81.53
We got lots of reduced salad stuff, fresh fruit... a 24 pack of toilet rolls.. that should last for a few months :rotfl:, the month's worth of cats food, baby wipes and nappies... a few month's worth of tea bags for me, some store cupboard bits like tinned toms... There is plenty there to last a while
But still.... I was planning a £50 spend :eek:April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

Good morning everyone. I popped to MrT's for a few bits yesterday and spent £21.83p, I was quite good and only picked up one thing that wasn't on my list, key lime pie . I don't think I will be coming in on target for June because there is only £2.82p left in my GC budget . MrsM could you put me down for £160 for July please. I'm sticking at the same budget as June because DS finishes college on Friday for the summer, which will mean he will be hear more to eat me out of house and home.
