I'm 23 and work as a cashier at a well known foreign exchange company. £12675 for 37.5 hours a week, 22/23 days holiday I think. Only benefit is an extra 1% on the rate if I want to buy currency.
Am currently looking for something that pays better, this job was only ever something to keep the money coming in0 -
I'm 30 and work as an Administrator at a University in London. Earn £33k and get 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays plus Uni closure days (usually about about 7 or 8 days a year).
I find that Universities tend to pay quite well for the work you have to do. I've never had to do even a minute of overtime in the five years I've been working in them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If you work full time for a UK bank or any UK company, it would not be legal for you to have less than 20 days holiday.
Could be the op is saying s/he is on a zero hour contract? In the NHS the term was "bank staff" we got paid only for what we worked with no holidays/sick pay etc0 -
I'm 31 and work as a data analyst in local government. I run a small team managing the payroll software and earn £33k. It's quite well paid but I'm highly skilled and have got a computing degree. I get 25 days holiday rising to 27 days in March when I've been with the council for 5 years. After 10 years I get 30 days. It's a good incentive to stay plus I get flexible working and they're family friendly. I like my job and colleagues which is a bonus.Mummy to DS May 08 and DD Oct 09
