Age 40, last tax year just under £80k technical software sales, this tax year s*d all, currently unemployed since march, thank god for redundancy insurance, which strangely enough I am even better off on (no outgoings etc for getting to work), however only a few months left of this before up s**t creek without a paddle.

Part time, work at staples the stationary store, on £5.80 an hour! It terrible! but its a job at the end of the day. Looking for a new one in the new year!DFW:

Much better deal then most chartered accountant students who work for smaller companies and we still have to go through all those exams...
What is 'real' benefit?? At 23 earning £40k and being chartered for life I think is benefit for life... From here it will only get better!!
i agree, i'm 21 and have just sat my last acca exams. i earn £16k plus my studying, hoping for a payrise if i've passed them but it would be no where near 40k!0 -

Nearly 22, work in M&S (but for SSP). £7.80 p/h. 28 days holiday. No staff discount like main M&S, parking costs up to £7 a day, drive at least 40 miles round trip. Wish I could get out.0

nearly 30 and a legal secretary/PA on £15600 (north west). Could earn oodles more if i wanted to but would add 2 hours to my day travel which is time i can spend with my kiddies.0
