From the replies that I have read a lot of people have salaries in the 25K range give or take.
So £25000 / (40 hours per wk * 52 wks) Gets you £12 per hour

Which is a lot by most people

What I want to know is why are these people on MoneySavingExpert.com
If I was on that kind of money do I still need to know about getting Cheap Car Insurance, Amazon Buying Tricks and Best Balance Transfers

Makes someone on minimize wage wonder

No matter how much money you have, would you rather pay £2 for exactly the same thing as you could get for 50p? If you have the chance to save money the vast majority of people will take it, just because they earn more than you doesn't mean that they have tonnes of money. Also where you live makes a big difference on how far your money goes, as does how big your family is, and debt is a massive reason for alot of people as they want to pay off debts/mortgages

I concur. My first salary after graduating was £8,500!! I was a 22-year old graduate working alongside 16-year old school leavers, but I figured I had to start somewhere.

I'm 23 and am a Lab supervisor. I get £18.5k plus a 15% shift allowance on top of that. No perks I'm afraid though and have to travel 80 miles a day as there is nowhere closer to home that would pay as well! I really enjoy my job though, and have enough to pay the bills which is fine by me!

Im 22 and a Control Room Operator for Highways and get exactly the same also travel 174 miles a day to and from work, like you i dont get anything from my company and there is nothing anywhere close to what im getting paid where i live.

Kinda have to agree really, with the first part any way.

I work part time for a well known bank and my partner is a qualified mechanic... we dont earn 25k between us. And out of the people i went to school with, even the ones who went to uni dont earn this much.

We are up north tho so suppose that might be the crucial difference.

i am from Middlesbrough but work in Cumbria, i live easy from my £20K+ salary, (plus girlfriends wage) but i have a 2yr old daughter. i am on here to keep my money and not waste it, why let companies have your cash when you can find something exactly the same but for alot cheaper?

Always looking for more money as you can never have to much (not greedy, just want a half decent lifestyle)

that's cos a lot of people are terrible with money. they can still be earning huge salaries (25k+) and still get into a lot of debt
