What I want to know is why are these people on MoneySavingExpert.com
If I was on that kind of money do I still need to know about getting Cheap Car Insurance, Amazon Buying Tricks and Best Balance Transfers
Makes someone on minimize wage wonder
That's an unfair comment to make as people have different outgoings . I don't think someone who earns £25k is on a large wage as a lot of people earn over £18k from teachers to nurses and it's hardly a high wage in a country where the average house costs £160k and utilities are sky high.
People with regular incomes should always try saving up for a rainy day or so they can afford to treat themselves without incurring debt . Only a fool would happily pay more for an item when they can find it cheaper elsewhere.
.People tend to cut their cloth accordingly and maybe they need cheap insurance for their cars as who wants to waste money .
"Remember look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves". A good rhyme to remember and maybe they have a job with 25-30k but have a 2,000,000 mortgage.
A £2million mortagage on £25 k a year?! No wonder the world's in a mess:eek:0 -
I am surprised at how little most people earn. I get about 27 plus car, so about average, but just dont seem to ba able to afford the things that many people can- foreign holidays etc. A child in nursery is probably the reason, but perhaps a trip to the creidt card forum would explain things!0

just playing with some really rough figures I work out that it does not work out as much a difference as I expected, it is really hard to work out the real difference also as the more expensive house may cost more for upkeep and somebody on a £55k income may feel like they need a fancier car and have more expensive outgoings than somebody on a £25k
my really lousy rough workings out
