Dont worry I saw the post that was there for 2 mins then disappeared and can confirm your not just talking to yourself haha
It bemuses me as to why us lower earners seem to be being classed as being jealous or offended by those earning a higher wage, I aint jealous of people on a wage like that, there is more to life than money! A LOT MORE!0 -

Wife and I pay ourselves £100 or so each a week. live on site business pays most bills, take out money as and when required for other stuff, but mainly concentrating on losing the mortgage (only £170,000 to go on a building/business valued at £1.1m) as quick as possible ,overpaying like mad now that interest rates are low .

Im confused about this. I'm not claiming to have read every single one of the posts, but I have read the vast majority, and I've found that many people on here have listed their job, their wage and any benefits that they get. That seems to be all that bendix has done, so why is he getting grief, and not everyone who has posted? The point here seems to be that someone on a higher than average wage cannot post his wage without looking arrogant, but someone who is on a much smaller wage is fine to post theirs as no-one will get jelouse.
Yes, the country is going through hard times, but this man seems to have worked hard for what he has got, why shouldnt he be proud, and why should he be treated any different to those who are on wages under 25k?
The opposite to what you are doing seems to be to look down your nose at people who are on smaller wages, and noone would except that, would they?!
I also totally do not understand your point about the mobile phone, everyone has listed their perks, and he has done the same. A saving of at least a few hundred pounds is brilliant (yes, even for those who have abit of money!) and therefore it is not a minute detail.
I arent having a sly dig (if that was aimed at me) i am just saying how I feel, as I think that you are being very judgemental.
Rant over, sorry everyone, I seem to be taking over this thread
I didn't see the post, but can guess what it said.
It's lucky I have a thick skin :rotfl:
It's very encouraging to see so many posters taking a more mature attitude to my post than the detractors.0 -
