29 yr old Archaeologist, at project supervisor scale earn £17,800 (approx) per year. No benefits with my job apart from standard 20 days hol and sick pay.
The basic grade for other arch's is about £13k a year.... pretty rubbish for a skilled and proffessional job!!0 -
Supervisor in a new tea shop, love it!! the only trouble its only 8 hours a week for now, at £6 per hour. Roll on next September when one of the other girls goes off to uni!!
Unfortunately I am still on benefits because I'm not reaching the magic 16 hours a week so they stop from my benefits most of what I earn, so in reality I'm working for £2.50 per hour, but its worth it for my sanity lol0 -
27, bus driver, £6.75/hr. 48hrs per week.
No contract, 10 days holiday, no sick pay (not even statutory), uncontracted unpaid overtime.
My dream is to be a professional pilot, either advanced instruction or airline. Just need to find c.£50,000 for the training. Sadly, there are now no jobs in the industry anyway thanks to the recession. If I had my time again I would probably choose another career path, however, I struggle to find an interest in anything else and I have no experience of anything other than driving.
I think I need to speak to a career counsellor!0 -

Public sector (rather not say what), over £30k per year plus final salary pension scheme which only costs me £40/month - which saves me £££s per month.
Good holiday allowance plus flexi etc.
Would like to earn more but wouldn't we all! Not to live a lavish lifestyle, just for security. Have saved almost £30k for a house deposit, OH has separate savings and we are waiting to see something that is good value in a nice area.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Rewarding job but not a good idea if you like money!!
rewarding....that is the most important factor. money doesn't matter as long as you are doing something rewarding and you are happy
a £130 a month rewarding job is worth a lot more than a £3million a month life-sapping jobMartin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0 -

I make about £400 per month, and have very few overheads ..... less than £70 per month, no one looks over my shoulder and I am accountable to no one. I take fridays off, dont work weekends, and do my accounts friday morning whilst sitting in my underpants drinking coffee and eating bacon sandwiches wondering if I could get an extra day off next week.
Previously I have worked for other people who wanted 12 hour days, took all the credit for jobs 'well done' and then whined when they had to pay me sick pay for a week. Never again !!
Sounds like the ideal job to me0
