I would not call £15k a good salary, sorry....
But it probably depends on where you live and what your outgoings are.
If you live in London, have a family etc. it's NOT.
If you are single (or can rely on your partner's earning) and live somewhere cheaper than it might be ok I suppose.

The average full time salary, including overtime, is £25428 in UK and £32604 in London (lower for women, higher for men, as usual....).

yes it does depend on where you live. here in the west midlands 15k is a very good wage but i do live in a very high unemployment area so employers don't have to pay high salaries. personally i only know one person locally who has a paid job now, everyone else is unemployed.
Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.

23, financial consultant and chartered accountant (London)
    - £40k + tiny bonus
    - Pros: 31 days holiday, flexi 7 hour days, small perks e.g. Blackberry, entertaining allowance, interest free loans
    - Cons: No 'real' benefits, increasing uncertainty over job security, initial 3 years of soul-destroying training contract hell i.e. exams exams exams

Much better deal then most chartered accountant students who work for smaller companies and we still have to go through all those exams...

What is 'real' benefit?? At 23 earning £40k and being chartered for life I think is benefit for life... From here it will only get better!!
  • im working as a telesales guy for a corporate giant. 20k basic plus up to 10k bonus, get a gym membership and 10% off topman/topshop
  • I'm 23 and work as a Finance Assistant for £15,750.

Company was supposed to be paying for study support but have stopped that due to recession.

    Other Benefits:

Apparently could go to any other company and do less work for more money!! I'll keep looking but there's nothing about at the mo :(
