Afraid I got into a hell of a lot of debt when I was young and naive! It's coming down very quickly now. Won't be much longer before it's all gone. Required a lot of cutting back though!

It must have - you cant pay a £35 exit fee?

    Hello,

I'm on the BG Fix and Fall March 2014 plan. There is an exit fee of £35 per tariff. I want to move providers now. Is there a certain time before the plan ends that I can leave without having to pay the exit fee, or do I have to wait until the end of March? I've checked the T&C but can't see anything.

    Thanks,

    Gaz

You must have serious outgoings still though - your DMP is at £600 a month, so that would leave you approx £5100 a month after tax?

I actually want to up the payments to £600 a month, but don't want to until I've moved onto a plan where I'm not being charged. I'll contact Citizens advice and see what they say :)

If you were to check my profile you'd see i am in full time employment and paying my taxes.

You should try it some time.

Don't lie, no employer would pay a lazy person to spend all working day posting rubbish on a message board.

Jesus, you all earn a hell of a lot!
I don't think i've even seen jobs with those kind of wages advertised on the job centre website or anything, is there some secret site I don't know of?!

I'm 19 and currently unemployed, my partner, 23, is a lab technician and he brings home about £11k a year.

The thing is that this thread can be very misleading. If you leave up north you can earn 6p/h for the same job that in London would give you few pounds more

I think working in a supermarket distribution centre is a lot more paid than the shops, im sure I read somebody works in a supermarket gets £6/7 an hour, I work for the same supermarket but in the distribution centre and get £10/hour plus £2.xx PER HOUR !!!! allowance ( nights ) making it £12.xx an hour plus bonus which if you get max bonus for the month it adds £2.50 an hour to your wage, most months I do get nearly full bonus so my hourly wage is always near the £15 mark, it seems decent for me as I live up north, down London I bet this is a poor mans wage

I also take the extra 2.6x pay on bank hols instead of the extra holidays

I work as a part-time administrator for a charity on £8.62 in the midlands. Boss has wanted to give me a pay rise for a while but as usual get told no money in the pot! No other perk's not even xmas meal out paid :( I was on 20k in my last job working as a quality assurance assistant and got meal's out. I don't currently pay into a pension like I was in my last job as I only work 2 day's a week now I have a 2 year old and due another baby soon. When kid's go to school I plan on looking for a different job.

And you don't get unemployment benefit if you are not looking for work.

My employer does - as long as I get the required work done by the deadline he doesn't care what I am actually doing at a given moment in time.
