  • Home carer, between £6.60 and £8.10 an hour. Crap mileage, no benefits. Do approximately 50% unpaid overtime as well. I am 25. Needed something flexible to fit around children and studies.

    OH is 29, studying and does occasional freelance work at £15 ph. He's hoping to get into games dev which isn't amazingly well paid in it sector I don't think but aslong as he's happy and following his dreams I don't mind!

    Lol was looking in 'up your income' area and saw this thread, when I opened it I saw I had posted over three years ago.

    Update I am now CIPD qualified and a Associate HR Business Partner earing £32,500 per year in London.

    Have a job interview next week for an amazing role with a 30% pay rise so please keep your fingers crossed!!!

    I deliver leaflets door to door and I earn approx. £18 per hour.

    I must point out that it's my own business - leaflet delivers are generally paid well under the minimum wage.

    If you're 25 years old and earning £78,000 how have you got so much debt already you need a debt management plan to pay it off? Surely you can manage to clear your debts easily on that sort of salary?

    Afraid I got into a hell of a lot of debt when I was young and naive! It's coming down very quickly now. Won't be much longer before it's all gone. Required a lot of cutting back though!

    Stay at Home Mum - £188 every 4 weeks thanks to Child Benefit and having 3 sproglets. 30 years old.

    When I worked I rarely got over minimum wage - I've been a call centre bod and a receptionist at a leisure centre previous 2 jobs.

    Believe it or not, I have a degree and I was on track to follow a career in heritage and tourism.....then my fertility took over! :wall:
