Teacher with management responsibilities. £31550 per annum
Agree with the above comments about the job though. Best job in the world to actually teach but the rest is just ridiculous. Wouldn't advise as a career choice anymore. And I have been classed as outstanding by Ofsted so it's not sour grapes. Takes over your life. Evenings and weekends are standard and quite a lot of holidays. Probably work 60-65 hours per week.
Although being able to have an impact on children's lives cannot be down played. Especially children from difficult situations. Huge job satisfaction to see children do well.0 -

Oh I did enjoy the job as far as the teaching went. I worked in a good school, high attainment- which brings with it issues of it's own. The long hours and pointless admin, meaningless meetings and bizarre changes to certificate course requirements I can live without. Also in Scotland, the huge reduction in managements opportunities means that their may only be 6 or 7 promoted posts for 100 teaching staff in a school.0 -
