And then there is this in this very thread
No post was quoted, but the one above it was a 23 year old earning 55k.
It's a bit sad really isn't it, so insecure with their life that they have to post on an anonymous forum exaggerating how much they earn.
I'm not insecure about my life - I am that 23 year old (well have since turned 24) earning 55k - I'm very very lucky to be in this position but I have also worked very hard.
Some jobs (especially in London) pay very well. And I have one of those jobs. Sorry that you are so sour about this that you have to tell yourself it's not real!0 -
Oh I know.
If he has a 10% net margin after costs, then hes saying hes sold £1.2 million of stationery last year from a bedroom in his mums house and storing it in the garage. Thats a lot of A4 reams.
He would have the A4 on call off from the mills
saying that there is a decent margin in paperclips :rotfl:0 -

If you read it again, you'll see he wasnt talking about you. He was talking about our "friend" berbastrike, who one minute is on £120,000, then hes on £55,000 and then hes on asking if £50 a month would be ok to pay his mum in rent.0 -

As motorguy said, wasn't aimed at you, but the person who has a different story with every post they make.
And if you are earning 55k good for you - I'm not sour or jealous - the pay cut I would have to take to match your earnings makes sure of that0 -
Teacher, 36 years-old earning £39500 (inc. management responsibility) Agree with Least about work -life balance! But the rewards of seeing children learning and enjoying school is priceless.:A0

Love my job, get paid to watch sports all day + many other sports related perks included.0 -
I work as a Counter assistant in Sainsburys.
I'm on £7.38ph. I get a 2.5% pay rise every September, and 4% bonus each year, after the tax year. (Though some stores get 0% as it's dependant on various things).
I also get £200 per year First Aid payment.
I think it works out to something like £15556 before tax?0 -
