i am in the process of trying to get my money back with them. I am soooo annoyed with myself for believing them! The way they congratulate that you have been accepted for a loan, and tell you it will be around 111 pounds per months, make it sound like its all happening. THen they find me a lender with 60% APR, 159 per months, and I need a guarantor, too! I was told my money will be back in my account within the next ten days when I spoke to them. That was 24 days ago and my money is still in their account! Even if I get the 64.99 back they still have my 5 pounds, and many hours spent on the phone trying to get it back!! AVOID THEM!!!0

Made the mistake of not checking up on this company before paying the fee. Went for a £7.5k loan over 2 years, said shouldn't be a problem and al I need to do is fill in paperwork when it arrives and then they can go and get the loan for me.
Got paperwork and also an offer of 3k from FLM with the need for a guarantor. Phoned QDL and they said that there was no lenders available for me. Looked up my credit file and they hadn't even done a search. Currently on hold waiting to get money back.
What I can't understand is the guy spent 35 mins on the phone too me and all there going to make is a fiver?0 -
Also to add, cannot believe Experian recommend these people. Are they not supposed to assist people in repairing their credit rating.0

If it was an 08700 number (or, heaven forbid, an 0900 one) they will have made a hell of a lot more than a fiver.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Hi, I think I just almost (at least I hope it's almost) got scammed by these people too. They got my details because I searched for a loan through credit expert, mistakenly thinking that anything through that site would automatically be legit. They rang me and they went through what I considered to be a normal loan application. I owe money to friends and family which I'm really feeling bad about and so I got carried away when she said that I had been approved for a loan.
The lady I spoke to was suitably vague about APR and monthly repayments etc and to be honest I was so relieved to be getting things sorted out that I didn't pay as much attention as I should have (that's how they hook ya, cos they know you're desperate and will hear what you want to hear!). She sneaked in asking my sort code and account number whilst asking who I banked with and how long I'd been with them and like an idiot I gave them to her.
However when she asked me for my card details to pay the £69.95 I told her I couldn't pay it as I don't get payed til Wednesday, she tried a 'don't you want your loan as soon as possible' tack but then realised I meant it when I said I couldn't cover the payment until Wed. She then said 'OK We'll take it from your account by direct debit on Wed', this is prob what saved me the money not taken yet and gave me time to think, by this point I had a gut feeling that something wasn't quite right - always trust your gut.
After I got off the phone I did what I ALWAYS tell my friends to do which is a thorough google search for the company name on forums and lo and behold I realised what a muppet I'd been. I called back and after a brief conversation with a lady was put back through to Jessie who I had spoken to previously. She sounded shocked and genuinely upset that I should have a problem (they should all be sent to hollywood btw such are their acting abilities) but when I asked her to tell me the exact company, APR, repayment amount and to guarantee that's what would come out in the post she went back to the same line as the girl who answered the second call; 'we're a loan broker the loan has not been definitely agreed with the lender yet.'
I told her I wanted to cancel and that I had family I could borrow from if I was desperate but that I would just stick by my longer plan to pay off debt. She immediately agreed to cancel the application and payment. I asked her if this was a guarantee that no money would be taken from my bank on Wed; she became hurt and offended at this point (seriously, the acting chops were great) 'Ma'am we are a professional company, we don't deal in fraudulent activity' - not exactly the guarantee I wanted but I shall be keeping an eye on my account for a new ddr being set up.
Thank god she doesn't have my card details, I used to work for a bank and I know that you are screwed big time if they have that. With my s/c and a/c she would have to set up a ddr which I can catch, cancel and ask the bank to block. Just gotta keep my eyes peeled!!
Can't believe I was nearly idiot enough to fall for this, although I know it was because of the warm cosy feeling I got at the thought of a big chunk of debt being sorted, breathing room for the other bits and a little money actually for myself each month! I'll just have to remember what it felt like to have it all sorted and keep slogging away - the memory of the feeling will keep me warm at night!0 -
I too have been 'stitched up' by not one but 2 of these brokers. I need to claim the fee back but cannot ring as i do not have access to a landline and it costs a fortune on mobile! Does anyone have a template letter out there?0

From what people are saying here it looks like it they make money by wasting your time.
They charge 69 pounds upfront for "processing" your application, then, if you're not happy (e.g. because APR is ridiculous or the amount they're offering is less than you need) then they'll refund you 54 pounds. My state-of-the-art scientific calculator tells me that 69 - 54 is 15 quid... out of your already distressed budget, for nothing, not even a hot meal, not even a joke over the phone.
Too late for me to realize.... I've been charged 69 and I'm waiting to see what piece of !!!! they bring me over the mail. I'm furious because they've LIED to me. They said my credit was approved (for the amount I was asking) and they quoted my rate at about 45 pounds a month (making that a usual APR). But today they said me that there are no further details about my loan and I'll have to wait for offers from the lenders to see how much money do I get approved and other details like APR.
The only reason that I trusted these people is the fact that they contacted me because I selected to get advice on the phone from a tool in the Experian creditexpert.co.uk website, which is rather a quality credit advice site. Creditexpert.co.uk charge for some of their services but they do it in a clear way: 5.95 for a credit score, 6 or so for a membership.... and you know exactly what you're getting for that.
Anyway, will keep you updated folks, it's alright for you to feel sorry for me0 -
SNAP! I've done it too - I've fallen for Quick Decision Loans and paid them their crazy fee before Googling. I feel a bit foolish now given the comments on here. Well, I'm going to see what happens.
I'm not someone who lets things lie so if they don't deliver they're in for a treat! I shall keep this thread informed of progress...
PS: I don't think they're making money out of the £5 difference in the refund amount, it's just their way of not walking away empty handed. However, if it comes to it I've set myself the challenge of obtaining a full refund...anyone want to bet me a fiver i can't do it? LOL.0
