Hiya
Not so much money saving but just thought i'd let parents know that there is going to be a strike on Tuesday 28th March, this is to include teachers so chances are most schools will be closed.
Those of you that work and don't know about it hopefully will now get the chance to arrange something for the kids rather than having to take a day off work.

Thanks to the OP for this post. My son keeps telling me he has an extra day off next Tuesday due to strikes, but no official word on it from school. I thought he was trying to pull a fast one lolLaughter is the sun

We have heard nothing from our school, but I know it will be closed as all the other schools in the area are closed.
Local government employees including UNISON and GMB Trade Union members are taking strike action. Schools are closed due to health and safety regulations.

My wife is a teacher in Merseyside, and she told me a couple of days ago that she has a day off next Tuesday (well she'll probably have to go in, but won't have any classes).
It's not teachers that are on strike, but the Union that covers dinner ladies, teaching assistants & caretakers.Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!0 -
