Ask questions before, not after the auction as per ebay guideance, and how often do you buy something that "you don't know what it is" and can't estimate the postage.
NO... IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T READ IT!!!!
Aren't you an argumentative little trolling moron today
If you actually took the time to read properly, you would see that I didn't say that anyone bought things that they didn't know what they were. I said that in this case, we do not know what the OP sold so therefore we can't say if 12 pounds postage could ever be reasonable. Please do keep up...0 -

There's a good reason for the attitude - PM sent<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
But my point is if you had complained earlier the seller could have at least explained that if they lower the postage they would have to increase the sale price or starting price.
The fact is sellers have prices they want to achieve in mind before they sell, if they did lower the postage they would only raise the starting price so it is an argument not worth having.
The seller has the right to raise the sale price if they lower the postage cost, by using the feedback blackmailing system the buyer is removing that right in an attempt to get an overall price they never would have got even if the postage was lower.
How would the person know to complain earlier about the real postage price and packaging costs of something they likely do not know the weight of or how it will be packaged or what service it will be sent by ? It is the same point you have failed to grasp earlier.0 -

Not a business seller and I don't have the facility to view it either. In my case, I suspect it may be that I haven't had 10 DSRs in the last month, I sell very infrequently - normally only a couple of items every fortnight or so.0 -

Read that from start to finish and you will see i enter the board with a relevant post about the op's topic, with absolutely no personal dig or reference to anybody and then read on to see all the personal digs at me from all the same suspects, i don't apologise for responding, although i should know better by now,0 -
Not sure where this thread is going but to the OP, I would either tell them to contact ebay if they want to or ignore their emails and leave them to get wound up about something that in the grand scheme of things aint a big deal. Its up to you what you decide to sell at and what postage you state providing you arent contravening any rules and you willing to get a bit of negative feedback. Bet they aint complaining that they got a £20 item for a quid. They probably reselling it for a profit as we speak!!:smileyhea0
