I have been charged £3.95 & £9.78 in 2 separate transactions. The e-mail states 'First we will charge your card with the full price of
the order then we will refund your card with the value of the discount. '
... but that doesn't fit with what they have done with me.

...... Set up is simplicity itself and will work with the Acer Aspire One on Linux once the drvers have been downloaded. I use it on a macbook here

Where do I find the drivers? and how do I download them? Will it be reasonably idiot proof so that I do not f*ck things up big time?

It has been known for mail order companies to issue the discount refund once the 14 day return policy has expired......

    I bought goods.
Waited more than 1 month for refund.
No refund and I sent it back.

They say that if there is no refund you can send it whenever you want.
On my case the code wasnt valid when I did order.

    This is their reply :

Thank you for your email about your discount.

If you use a cash discount promotion, such as £10 off, and you pay for your order with a credit or debit card, then we will process your payment in two stages. First we will charge your card with the full price of the order then we will refund your card with the value of the discount.

Please note that the payment and refund may not occur simultaneously but the refund will be made no later than when your order is despatched. Please be assured that if you were selected to receive the offer and your order meets the applicable terms and conditions, the refund will be applied to ensure that you receive the correct discounted price overall.

    Kind Regards

I an unconcerned. I will wait for the product to arrive. If by then the refund has not appeared in my online account, I will raise a dispute.
They have accepted my order, issued an order confirmation on website and via email and dispatched the goods. I would say a contract had been formed and they have breached it by taking an amount other than stated on the website and within my email confirmation.

Don't think my CC company will have any problem in withholding payment on that basis.

It seems that way on the o2 site but I don't think it will actually work this way - I don't think their systems will be linked, I think you'll be able to use it all the time.

but no mention of top-up until after this so I think it worked without topup.

no I was using the Cloud at the airport during my £2 24 hour top up, but literally all I did was plug in the dongle, fire up IE and got the cloud log in page, mobile number entered and up and running........

you get The Cloud access as long as you have time still left on your top up - I put the £2 on the night before in the hotel and it ran to the following evening so my afternoon airport time was in that, definitely worth it when Travelodge were looking a tenner!
