    Is this cryptic? By whom?

Littlewoods for the dongle. It was supposed to be £3.73. The order confirmation email also says £3.73 total including delivery. I checked my balance online and £16.01 has been taken.

Why £16.01 though? It asked me to sign up to Verify by Visa, could it be that they took a small amount to check the card?

The cheeky sods may try to claim that though the headline price is £10, they took off 22 pence later because of the lower VAT rate, so may try to claim that the dongle was under £10.

    Take your screenshots friends.

If Littlewoods don't agree to an immediate refund, I shall raise a dispute with my CC company.

Luckily I took a screenshot of my order confirmation and a screenshot of the original offer.

Have sent a query to Littlewoods and wait for their reply. If they try to charge a penny more than £3.73 I will effect a 'chargeback' via my CC company.

    Nobody reading their emails ???

If you have paid for your order with a credit or debit card then we will process your payment in two stages. First we will charge your card with the full price of the order then we will refund your card with the value of the discount. Please note that the payment and refund may not occur simultaneously but the refund will be made no later than when your order is despatched.

Yes, we do. But my order has been despatched and there is no sign of the refund.

I have not been online to check my bank account yet but my natwest secure clearly showed an authorization for £3.73 Time will tell what I actually get charged.
I bought one of these dongles from O2 at £30 recently and it was not locked to any network so I am hoping this will be the same. I simply put a T-mob card in my last one and used it on Smart Philippines last week without problem. Set up is simplicity itself and will work with the Acer Aspire One on Linux once the drvers have been downloaded. I use it on a macbook here
