A forum member called 'Londonuk' has a Natwest current account (RBS Group) and they gave him a loan based purely on internal score, no credit checks were completed.
I'm sure one forum member will try to contradict this, but it's true.
I remember him saying this, its as true as we have been told but again, the feasibility of doing such is immensely risky and tbh, I still have my doubts. Not arguing with London, but for any bank to issue a loan in the current climate based on internal score alone is absolutely bonkers.
Let me elaborate, I know Natwest will guarantee me a loan if I run my accounts well so I open an account and fund it and have DD's etc - its all a ploy. I then apply for a loan 6mth down the line, know I won't be scored & searched and then do a runner.
See my point mate.....? I think maybe they done a search but then removed it or maybe London missed it. Come on, you have seen first hand the amount of times they offered me a CC and the varying limits (Ulster = £3k remember?) but I never get them cos all applications go through to verification unit and this is where I fail.2010 - year of the troll

tracy24582 wrote: »yes rose you did post this but i asked if you get declined by one owned by GE money will you get declined by another that is owned by GE money, this didn't really make sense. and NID only directed me to a page that said what companies check which reports, not really much use to me.
The short answer to your question is yes, if you reapply within a set period and GE Money is 6mth. However, that said, you can actually reapply for Asda every 3mth (this is an exception).
If you fail the scoring of GE Money on one card that doesn't mean you'll fail the scoring on another type of card. However, if you cannot pass their basic score then it's unlikely you'll get any account with them until the score dramatically improves. You cannot appeal against a Credit Score decline either.
The link I sent you to was valid for identifying other GE Branded Cards which is what I thought you asked for. Sorry for confusion.
If you need a specific question answered and we miss it or mis-direct you then PM us - that is what the facility is for! :rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

There is a FULL register, avaialable to CRA'S and an edited one available to marketing companies and the like which isn't important as you can opt out.
Could be an address problem in that your address is listed ever so slightly different on electoral roll to what you put on application. Happens more with new builds but maybe a possibility
Have a read here for detailed answers as to what the E/R does and the difference between the two....
For the record, the edited version (or the part they sell to marketing companies) cannot and will not be used ever in any credit decisions so if they have stated this as a reply they are talking nonsense as it means nothing to them!
All credit searches are performed using the Full Register which is the electoral version, i.e. voting proxy.

Thanks for the info NID.
I'll be calling them later today about it.
Well, this morning i got an email from La Redroute offering me an account. When i called c/s, i was told it's a cash account only. I requested a credit account and they did a search there and then, but i was rejected.
The nice lady said i should contact Experian.
Is it worth having a cash account, as i only want it for the green 0's0
