Guys, when GU turned me down they said i wasn't on the electoral register. I'm going to check with the council tomorrow that i am, but the GU advisor said there are 2 electoral rolls and i might not be properly registered .

I've not heard this before, is he right?

A forum member called 'Londonuk' has a Natwest current account (RBS Group) and they gave him a loan based purely on internal score, no credit checks were completed.

I'm sure one forum member will try to contradict this, but it's true.

Cheers for that Sutton. Well I might give it a try. Does anyone know how that works though. Do you have to ask them to do it that way or is it just something they will do? Will they take my savings into account?

There is a FULL register, avaialable to CRA'S and an edited one available to marketing companies and the like which isn't important as you can opt out.
Could be an address problem in that your address is listed ever so slightly different on electoral roll to what you put on application. Happens more with new builds but maybe a possibility

yes rose you did post this but i asked if you get declined by one owned by GE money will you get declined by another that is owned by GE money, this didn't really make sense. and NID only directed me to a page that said what companies check which reports, not really much use to me.

Not 100% sure but I think a lot of GE Money cards are changing to Santander group.
