Spain- Car Hire prices Gone Crazy

After some of the horror stories I thought I'd share my experience with Auriga Crown booked via economycarhire which went through very smoothly. We'd booked well in advance for a car from Reus and was half expecting to turn up at the desk and be told they didn't have a car. However, we had no problems and the car only had 3k on the clock-no issues with charges or anything and as an added bonus they did a full to full fuel policy - although we used almost exactly a tank so only saved about E10

We have just booked with Doyouspain.com to pick up in seville city centre but haven't been given a location to pick up from or who exactly is supplying the car! Is there a way of finding this out on their website? cheers

I use this company (based in america) evertime i go abroard. I found them to be cheapest. For example a week in malage spain to and from airport £131 (not sure about taxes though).i also used them in capetown, thailand and other places and cut a 1/3 off my rental cost....try it, you never know

Has anybody actually hired and got a car through this firm?
After endless attempts to contact them they actually answered their London number! My money was promised back!!!

On their web site they state there address is Regent street

Google their address and it is just a forwarding company that own the office and use it as HQ for dozens of companies !

Thanks Teahfc.
They were unable to get me a car in Malaga. Cancelled order Monday, but still holding onto my payment. Court action may be the answer.

Recorded letter saying pay or go to court has brought a result - payment refunded!!
This was a bad experience. Recommendation: do not bother with this set-up.

This is my experience with them:
Find Decode Car Hire on the internet. They offered the best rate for a 2 weeks car hire at the Malaga airport. Paid the invoice. After not getting a confirmation I finally find out that they could not deliver the hired car. Did speak to them on phone and mail in order to get my paid money back. Filled in the necessary form Decode mailed me. Spoke again several time by phone with them. Last contact was Friday 25-09-2009. Promised me by phone to pay the money back next week. Went for 2 weeks on holidays, after returning no refund.
They don't answer the phone any more and I don't get any replies on my mails.
I think the Decode Car Hire is just an other SCAM company.:mad:

I have used car hire Girona in spain from Decode car hire company in August. Must say that I had to pay additional charges for fuel and baby seats. They didnt charged me full price, just a commision, but the rest of payment i paid at the pick up.

121 car hire are doing pretty good prices for Menorca next year, when I booked through them and recieved my conformation it came from Hertz.
