Well our For Sale Board went up this morning!!!! It's a week today since the EA came and did all the measuring and photos but still not had my property details to approve - is this normal? don't want to bug them!!!! Had our EPC done on Thursday and emailed them the certificate the same day.
I'm in exactly the same position - it's been a week since our photos and measurements were done, and I emailed them the EPC the next day. The For Sale board went up the day after but heard nothing since. Am wondering wether to ring them as surely it doesn't take that long to type up some details?! Or does it - never sold before so not sure if ti's me being impatient or them being slack!!
EDIT: Just rang them and apparently the details are ready and waiting to be approved by me, so they're going to email them across soon. Thought they might have contacted me buy never mind, at least the ball should be rolling soon. ncsmummy- I wouldn't worry about bugging them as yours could well be sitting on their desk ready!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Well we fired our EA yesterday...
ok, ok... so I wimped out and just told them that after reviewing our position we had decided to take the property off the market, which is kinda true.
We're going to give it a few days before appointing a new agent, just so there's a nice clean break.0 -
Someone told me selling your house is like playing the lottery. You need lots of luck and patience and eventually the right person will come along.
I agree - its all a big gamble and sometimes even a game where you have to have to think of tactics !!!!
For us it feels like we have been on the world's worst rollercoaster - in a chain yes, then not, up and down changing daily - but lately I would liken it to being in a dinghy in the middle of the ocean not going anywhere with no sign of help !!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Hi peeps, have been looking at some rental properties as backups and now also (again pretty please without trying to jinx anything) trying to sort schooling for the kids. We already have a preferred school for DD, but most of the schools are already full
We will have to apply in the hope that the application is considered. DS needs a specialist school with hearing departments as he is deaf, so although a harder choice, he should be accepted easier, and littlest DD isn't in pre-school yet so don't have to worry about her just yet!
Didn't apply any earlier because we just didn't know how things would pan out. So hard isn't it?!

NCSmummy and Blodwen I am notorious for calling the EAs when I don't hear from them. I'd rather have them sick of me calling than me sick of waiting to hear from the hehe...sometimes a nudge in the right direction doesn't go amiss...seems to have worked for Blodwen!

This was our 3rd "official" chain, 4th "official" Buyer, 5th "official" accepted offer !!!!
Its all blending into one whole mess !!!
So we have gone back onto the market with current EA but I have a feeling it is being remarketed "half heartedly" ... our Buyers are with the same EA and have hit problems similar to us. We have not yet gone back on Rightmove but we are to go in the local paper this week - Rightmove being the better media obviously.
We have also decided to try another new Agent at the same time and so I advised current EA - reply was "but don't you want to wait a bit longer" (to see if our Buyer does get his redeployment) !! my response "well we have been with you since last June and had 2 broken chains" - can you believe it !!!! We have had the patience of 1000 saints !!!!!
So I now have to get my home ready for more photos for EA details and probably have a nervous breakdown over that as I admit I am a perfectionist !!! :rotfl:
P.S thanks for all your sympathetic replies - this thread is my therapy !!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

I really feel for you, selling is nothing short of an elongated nightmare. At least the saving grace is that people have liked your house and offered/intended to buy, even though they fell through. The likelihood is someone else will also fall in love with your house and buy it...fingers crossed for a smoother transaction this time!

Our Viewer has been and gone. I think he quite liked it. A little un sure about the area, but hopefully liked the house.
The main dowside being he has been on the market for less time then we have, and we are still in teh first couple of weeks!
So even if he Loved it, Im sure there will be no offer!
I think we are going to do some more internet searching for houses over the next week or so and possibly go look at one or 2 in a few weeks time. I still dont like the idea of looking early as it gets everyones hopes up, but its nice to have an idea of what you could get!0 -
I'm also thinking of moving into my mums house when I sell to break the chain. Having had one buyer pull out on me already, I'd hate to mess the vendor (any vendor) around again so I don't want to make another offer until I've exchanged and its all set. The thought of trying to move everything on completion day is also pretty daunting!azkaban420 wrote: »Hi peeps, have been looking at some rental properties as backups and now also (again pretty please without trying to jinx anything) trying to sort schooling for the kids.
