I don’t know what stage you’re at but yes, the EA that you viewed with, made the offer through, and had it accepted by the vendor will need your solicitor/conveyancer details to compile their Memorandum of Sale sheet.

Tell the other one to get off your back, or they will be hearing from your solicitor.

I'm at early days - just filling in the forms from my solicitor about my own house for my own buyers.

I did view with the first ones, the ones who are now bugging me, but I didn't want the property with them, and actively turned it down. When it went to the second EA, they lowered the price, and I had some suggestions from my own family about different arrangements of the furniture etc that made it acceptable. So I viewed through the 2nd EA, and made an offer. Thats how it stands.

Hmm… Yes, I’ve just done all those forms for my mother’s flat. I sympathise.

You viewed through the second EA, and made an offer, so that’s the one that needs your solicitor’s details. Don’t work with the other one at all. Cut them dead.

The vendor will possibly have a major headache on this earlier move from one EA to another. There is nothing you can do to help with that.

They had Ts and Cs signed, they decided to switch EAs. Their problem.

I am quite looking forward to tomorrow as we are having 2 escorted viewings while we are out signing ready to exchange on our new house. tbh, buying the new house is far more important to us just now as we know that our present house will sell in time. We will have no savings left until we sell as we have used up all our life savings to get the new house but hey, we have done enough scrimping in the past 39 years and sometimes you just have to take a chance.

At least the plants are getting a good gentle watering today and the expected sun will make them all look good for a week or so at least. I have 40 large pots!!!

hi all havent been on for ages been packing up etc. im sure my buyers are trying to see how they can get me to have a nervous breakdown!

We are exchanging tomorrow and i received a call from my solicitor 10 minutes ago saying the buyers want me to do a new statutory declaration for an absence of easement we have to protect our rights to a shared driveway. this policy has been in place 7 years and theyve known about it since they put their offer in back in march. so i have to run to the solicitors office at 3:30pm today and pay an extra £200 (ish) for a new stat dec! i thought everything had been sorted out, my solicitor isnt happy but she thinks its a deal breaker so i cant really tell them to get lost (although i'd love to!)

She said we are still on course for exchange tomorrow and completion next friday so hopefully there will be no more stumbling blocks.
