Well I was correct - the FTB who supposedly had a mortgage agreed, only had it agreed for £120k and was hoping to get the rest from her dad remortgaging but they couldn't do that so no buyer :(.

    Sorry to hear that Skintlass.

Well we were hoping to exchange today... and didn't. Though tomorrow was our original date for exchanging. Apparently our buyer was waiting for the deposit frim his buyer, so that it can be passed up the chain.

So fingers, toes etc for exchange tomorrow, otherwise it'd be monday, giving me 3 days to pack a CRAMMED house!!! (We're due to complete on Fri next week).

    Jenny

Fingers crossed for you Jenny74 - this house buying and selling business is a real pain isn't it? At lesat I'm fairly confident that my house is on at a saleable price but I now need to get more viewers.

I hope you all get more viewings too, and with buyers who are able to proceed. :A

I'm playing the waiting game - which I'm not very good at. I have several people interested who might put in an offer when their own is under offer. The more likely one is the lady who was about to offer and has just been made redundant (oh dear). but she may go ahead anyway with her partner and also may have a new job offer. I should hear something Monday. but then they told me that at the beginning of the week.

If I could do a part ex with a developer at this stage then I probably would!

skintlass - um, i agree that your agent should have vetted better. maybe mention it to them along the lines of 'what a pitty you couldnt find out before that...'

Still just lurking and reading for the moment as we have a slow but steady run of viewers, unfortunately no one who is really proceedable. With regard to vetting, I suppose the EAs would not want to risk putting a viewer off, so they allow a bit of leeway with what they hear from them. Then, when it comes out ‘in the wash’ so to speak, that they can’t proceed, people are let down.

We all just have to keep going without getting too upset when there’s yet another hiccough. I’m puzzled at what is selling in our area, very close to us, right on busy, noisy roads, with no privacy, and some of it in poor condition. In the short term there’s no easy way to know what it really sold for of course.

I’m just getting a bit tired of viewers who let the cat out of the bag towards the end of the viewing; what they say on occasion makes us realise that they’re a long way off the offer stage. I suppose we just have to endure all that to get to the one that is proceedable…

totally with you not_loaded. I'm in exactly the same postion. yet as you say, you see houses going under offer and get quite despondent about it.

Just a quick post as no internet yet just using a really bad dongle thing lol

The move went ok (ish) with only 1 scary moment when my sol dealing with the selling of my house rang me at 12noon to ask for my help to get my old mortgage company to give them a final figure so they could be paid off - they had tried several times that morning with no avail - 1 phone call from moi threatening compo if my family of 6 ended up homeless seemed to work:rotfl:and 10 min later sol phoned me back to thank me :D

Very sad to leave my old house 3 of my children where born their ! we had a few of our neighbours in tears in the street as we said our good bye's.

Got the keys to our new house at 2:30pm so a mad rush to empty my car so i could do the school run.

I looooove my new house it feels so much like home already, even the millions of sides came out to welcome us :rotfl:

Good luck all, i hope my internet comes on soon so i can catch up properly

    xx
    Mad mum to 4, boy 17, boy 10, boy 10 and girl 7 :D
