...last time... they pulled out as they said they're offered on several other houses :-(
skintlass - that's horrible. to offer on several houses and only make up your mind at the last minute. horrbile. I really hope they just had a sick kid or something, well, you know what i mean. my fingers are crossed for you!
jenny - well done!!
spirit - best wishes with the interested people. shame about the job situation in your town. this is a very random comment, so i'll apologise first in case you are very young or plan on moving again, but if it's that quiet, will it be ok when you do eventually retire? or take a 'career break' or something...
i'm only wondering because a sense of community is very important to me, so much so i've cut the places i'll view down based upon how busy the high street is on a weekday morning!!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. thanks 23rdspiral - I just hope I'm over-reacting and they do go ahead. I used to work with a guy (he was a nasty piece of work) and he would go to houses, offer on them then a day or so late pull out cos he's changed his mind. Seriously he did this on about 4 houses in the space of a month

oh dear - buyer was supposed to go to EA today and prove mortgage offer but hasn't turned up or contacted EA. EA has left messages on mobile. I feel sick, last time I had an offer on the day that the person was supposed to be proving income they pulled out as they said they're offered on several other houses and had decided to go with one of them. Why is selling a house so stressful - we really have no regulation in England :-(
Oh dear, that's not nice. (understatement)
I guess all you can hope is that they had some sort of emergency. Sometimes "life happens".
Cyber hugs to you (((skintlass))) and hoping things work out.

( hope its just a hiccup!
Gotta say, never buying in England again after this time - I don't remember my Scottish purchase being so painful! and my sale was about 6 weeks end to end.
This one more in England, then moving somewhere chain free with people that move FAST!Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -

I agree skintlass, some people are just downright mean. Here's hoping that you get a 'decent' buyer,
23rdspiral, no apology needed.. I've got another 15 odd years yet before I retire (unless I win the lottery first!) So no, this probably isn't going to be my final move. I also love a sense of community. I moved here from an adjoining village 6 1/2 years ago. I didn't know anyone in this village but soon did. It's a cul de sac with a little green out the front of our houses where we have bbqs in the summer. I will really miss the neighbours because they are like family to me.
The places I am looking at therefore are on quieter roads or small estates so that - hopefully I can get to know people better. Pretty much everyone from work lives there (i've been kinda the outsider for commuting to work for years) and I know a few people from the local dancing club.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Our place has been on the market for 4-5 months with just one viewing. So god damn depressing. Found the house of our dreams and driving past it most days kills me
starting to know the feeling.. on just over a month now and not even one viewing... starting to understand what you've all been thru on here!
well done all on, or nearly on the move.. and good luck to all still waiting0 -

excellent. sounds like the right place to move to then. i know a few people that moved places because it was the ideal house, or a great commute, only to find the town/villiage itself wasn't for them. bbqs on the villiage green sound lovely! Oh, and good luck with that lottery win!

Well the EA phoned yesterday to say the viewers had decided not to up their offer, they are going to look at some more house
I doubt they will get what they are looking for - in fact the lady told me they had been looking for ages and not seen anything. In the meantime another house that has looked promising to use has gone under offer, all the while prices where we are moving to are creeping up,and here still dropping.

kymie, it is tactical to give the illusion of looking at other houses to give u the impression they are gone forever.. they will b back0
