Quick update:
This morning I got to Uni 2.5 hours early! Serious car parking issues here & also it gives me time to work. On the money front old work gave me my due holiday pay so I now have £3,500 for LB. (Feels like one step forwards one step back.) He is away at the moment, Up North, and won't be back unitl Friday! Which is rubbish! He had a call from the Seat dealer we have been talking to & they said they would come back with a price to buy their demo car - he said that we were looking to buy in March/April next year so not sure if it will be a price for then or now! Exciting.
Can't wait to have all of the money saved. Oh, & I've found a possible venue for our wedding! :T Very exciting!Mortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000DFW Nerd 1190

Wow that's moohoosively expensive!! Not actually been there yet but pics look lovely, a friend of a friend is getting married there in the next few weeks for £5k all in (venue, food, dj, etc). It's a really old manor house type thing - used to belong to King Harold or someone & was a weekend place for King Henry VIII. Hoping to visit there soon!

I have had a brilliant weekend!! LB & I had a BBQ to celebrate our engagement (& to introduce our parents) and it went well. :T No fallouts or arguements!! Success!!!!
And flakey friend maybe isn't so flakey! They have offered to pay for our flights to America as they want us there that much! I was speechless! It's SO kind of them!
My Ma & Pa are giving us £200 for our engagement - very unlike them!
LB has just been lovely, and all I keep thinking is how I lucky I am. :happyhearMortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000DFW Nerd 1190

Had my first pay from my new job & although it will be tight I should be able to say £650 per month. LB & I have increased the amount we put into our joint account for bills from £840 to £853 per month. It's not a lot but with reworking our money I've been able to set aside money for birthdays & christmas & another pot for holidays & another pot for takeways per month. This means that neither LB nor I should be paying for anything. LB has decided to save £600 per month as he really wants this car! Feel more like he's on board with saving & reducing the mortgage now - just needed him to want something enough to do it!
So now have just over £4100 for LB saved. It's still a bit gutting that I had more last month but never mind, at least it's going in the right direction.
Getting a bit sick of looking for venues to be honest!! They are all so expensive!! I just want somewhere nice but not outrageously expensive!Mortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000DFW Nerd 1190

We just want somewhere nice with availibility! Everywhere is booked already, or is really boring and ugly! Grrr! I'm strating to prattle on about building my own wedding venue since there is clearly a lack of suitable ones!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
